Most online games that involve collecting cards/monsters have some sort of available monthly subscription where if you log on everyday throughout the month after paying a set fee you get bonuses.
I was thinking this could be implemented into this game.
For 10-20 dollars, 1 free spin per day, normal eggs only, (this way you will still have to buy gems in order to do festival eggs/encore eggs)
$20, 3 gems everyday if you log in, these gems can be spent on any egg you want
$20, 1 gem a day however if you log on 25 out of 30 days starting from when you purchase this plan, you will obtain an automatic random legendary egg
These are just a few of my ideas, feel free to comment and share your opinions. Cheers
Sounds pretty good but I think 90% of people will log in 25/30 days in a month and then they’d all get a shot at legendary and the company would lose a heap of money, also would this be per month for the legendary wheel idea? I do like the 2 other ideas though
I like the idea of a subscrption then they could have it for like a weekly, monthly, and yearly subscrption. So a year subscription could cost 50 dollars, while a weekly could be .99 and then you recieve better login rewards.
On a side note a monster trade in system could be included with the subscription were you are able to sell back monsters for points and then you could exchange those points for a random monster based on value. So epic could be 100 points, super epic 300 points and legendary 800 points (2000 points and you get to pick any currently avaliable monster). Then selling epics back gives you 50 points, super epics 150 points and legendaries 400 points.
Yeah, the subscription idea is great and trade in system would be good for players who have most of the monsters and no longer see a point in spinning the wheel anymore.
I like all of this, these are good ideas except subscriptions.I know i definetly log in everyday of the month so it would definetly benefit me. Also i have a ton of monsters i dont use that i would like to trade in as well.
How would it alienate f2p, you would still get all the stuff you are getting now. This would just be an incentive for people to spend money. They can not give everything for free.
By giving more advantages to money spenders… I think that was pretty obvious lol…
Either way this monthly subscription thing, fun idea - not gonna happen.
People do spend money on that wheel. That’s what the new relatively better / OP legends are for. And what is better than having all legends safe for the single new one that you need to get and drop like 200$ on it - I read some post of a high ranked player owning all monsters who spent 90 spins ( 450 gens ) in an attempt to get The new stun absorb legend. Would he have continued with more gems had he not gotten it? Probably yes.
Trade-in system - not gonna happen on the short term. People have a zillion useless epics to dispose off. They could stock up on legends in an instant. What they want is people to drop money on the wheel to get these. Not giving them away in batches
You can try to suggest these kind of things but as long as revenue and player base for this game is good - be realistic, they have no incentive to do any of this.
What they might do is use even more devious things like pure money spending events. You’d better pray it doesn’t come to that instead.
That does not alienate them it just does not give them the same rewards. They can still play the game and improve it will just take them longer to improve, it does not alienate them.
100 people spending 500 dollars is the same as 1000 people spending 50 dollars (which assuming more people than that play just scaling it down). Have a look at the market research on things before you say they are just a fun idea that will not make them money. There is a reason other games offer monthly subscriptions and it is not because it makes them less money.
If a lot of people bought a subscription to be able to trade in monsters then they would make money through that and people would eventually run out of monsters to trade in which means they would need to spin the wheel again which means they have to buy more gems. No use spinning the wheel when you already own all the monsters just for a chance at one new legendary( although I am sure there are people who do that, just the minority). They would make substantially more money if more people spent a little money instead of a handful spending hundreds once month.
It does alienate them because the rewards are granted to the paying players. While f2p players can improve, they improve slower then the paying ones and the paying players start to improve faster the more they improve. Thus creating a larger and larger gap between the paying and the free players. There is a point where players start leaving because they can’t compete without 1000s of dollars and then there is no one to pay for the game any more.
That is why a subscription would be a good idea imagine spending 50 dollars for a one year subscritption which gives players one free spin per week and other rewards. This would also pay the developers for there time spent working on the game. I would spend that 50 dollars and I am sure plenty of others would too. Let’s say 20000 people play this game and 10000 of them spend 50 dollars that makes them 500000 dollars. 100 people spending 1000 dollars only makes them 100000 dollars. This game is only fun because there are other people playing. The wheel is broken because f2p people realize they have such low odds and thus would rather not waste their money spinning it, but give them an incentive to spend money where they actually recieve something worth their money and they might spend.
Exactly. The one thing that the devs need to understand is that they will not ever be able to get everyone to spend 500+ dollars. I would spend money on this game if I knew that I could get something worthwhile from it, but currently their monetization model keeps me from spending. It is either don’t spend or spend hundreds.
If they did something where I could spend $10 for something that would be guaranteed to benefit my team in some way then I would do it time to time. But currently they are losing players/money because of the come heavy or don’t come at all attitude.
I would love to actually talk to the devs about what motivated their design decisions. Because I’m curious.
I would as well, but I am hopeful for this next update as the devs have apparently been hard at work and have not had time to post updates or anything.
Have you heard of the Chinese Free-to-play earning model? That’s what all these games are based on… they do not care about people who spend 50$ or 10$ or 30$ they only care about the big spenders like scruffi who drop 1000s of dollars on this game because that is where their main revenue is and will be coming from.
Giving everyone good rewards for as much as 50$ will indeed add up to the same amount that scruffi spends… problem is IF EVERYONE gets the best stuff then the top will be based on actual skill level… and the people with the most money are not always the smartest and not always the best players. by imbalancing the game by means of money, the people with the most money and sensitive to gambling (yes this is similar in nature to gambling look it up ) will drop tons of cash to acquire the best monsters in the game. If they would not do this then people who are willing to spend a lot will not be able to gain anything from it and they will quickly quit the game when they get beaten off the top rankings by people who only spend as much as 50$ but are just much more intelligent than themselves.
This eventually leads to the top not spending anymore because they are set in stone and there’s no reason to spend more because you can’t improve from it. That is why they need the big spenders to get the feeling after spending they become more powerful than everyone else because of the money they dropped on the game.
They are driven by several things: “higher in the ranking” rankings always do good. Impatience plays a big part as well and several more factors… since neomonsters is not really that upgrade driven (you cannot equip your neo’s to make them stronger ) at the moment the only way of acquiring such revenue without having people quickly running out of a reason to spend is by using a method that is borderline Casino slots play.
I can see they have a lot more options to use gems to improve your monsters to get an edge - for example being able to buy the potions for gems or worse - being able to upgrade MAX Stats of your neomonsters by using gems.
Stop thinking of ways to improve the paying system and just be happy that the wheel is the only method there is… cause it is way worse in several other games I’ve seen.
Like dotarena vs heroes charge.
If you already try both game you will know the BIG difference on the spending $ model there.
And know how dotarena will never become number #1 even they the main application builder.
With the current pokego release even with the difficulties GPS and console spec, the crowd so excited there.
And how are you neo monster later ?
Is it to hard to give grind method to give free to play an advantage in term of end game lvl.
Spender actually have a good amount of monster pool there.
I think reworked some monster skills is good compared creating a new one
Not quite sure what you’re getting at as Pokemon Go is more of a collectors game if anything… no strategy involved there… but I do agree they should give more options for free players rather than looking at other ways to spend money on this game
