It wont be op, it’ll just be an elephant with desperate stampede since you’ll be using desperate move all the time and not much on common moves.

That elephant has a single desperate stampede…cryogolem has desperate double + fury mode with excessive force and hd = 2 almost standard kills.That’s an op for a se monster.  

I completely agree. Just imagine if you have a GT lined up or even a TT. You could use Cryogolem to sweep through loads of monsters with ease. It would be much harder in PvP because you can’t skip turn in the same way but in PvE it would be simple to set up. Only a few legendaries have that kind of sweeping potential, definitely no super epics!

It’s a good idea to buff fury mode so it gives excessive for but I think it’s… excessive. What they need to do is fix it so activates as soon as they go into red health. Then maybe as a buff they could change it so instead of adding the defence stat to attack it simply doubles the attack stat (leaving defence how it is). That way it would remove the irritation of where one of these monsters goes onto low health and you heal it up, you want it to have some defence at this point.

What about making it so that fury mode gives excessive force but kills the user after attacking?
This way it can’t be abused and 2 kills for a SE (that isn’t that fast and kinda easy to play around) would be high risk high reward imho

Don’t buff Cryogolem’s offensive capabilities. Do fix Fury mode, but then get rid of one or both of his basic moves and give him solid support options like Stealth All or some kind of heal. That’s what he really needs in order to make himself worthwhile. The mindset should be, “What could Cryo have that makes it worth choosing him instead of, say, Lordsreign, Gearcroc or Horrorclaw?”

He looks like batista made of ice. If thats aint good enough to choose him, i dont know what else is.

The mortar monsters have been buffed and I do think mortar is in a good place but I do think that their offensive moves should be usable uncharged and deal one damage as having to charge is a limitation. If you are unloaded then you have no option whatsoever but to charge. If you could use the offensive move uncharged to deal one damage you could at least break shield/stealth or kill a monster off hold ground

Yea a monster that has no way of attacking in under 170tu (unpotted and not accelerated) dealing 1 damage does sound OP. Chrono breaker can’t one shot utopion and Astro has faststrike. So not only are they more supportive monsters and need to charge up to attack but then their attack’s to do any real damage need to be low TU on enemy or a chrono monster. There moveset is good I don’t think anything needs changing other than they can stack for 1tu uncharged but now I’ve read your post I can see exactly how it would be OP

Saul has really good point,dealing 1 damage for unloaded mortar makes the 4 mortar guys more versatile and have more uses in the game

Each of the legendary mortar monsters can hit through shields and HG with their mortar damage move. So I can see why it wouldn’t be necessary for them to use the mortar moves without loading… it would just slow down their proper damage. The only reason you’d want this is so they can help out your other monsters by doing a quick hit to remove a shield or kill a monster on 1HP.

I honestly don’t think it would be that useful, not as much as you think anyway. You can use other monsters to do this and keep mortar monsters for the more serious damage. That said, I wouldn’t moan if they did change mortar attacks in this way. I just don’t think it’s necessary nor does it fit with the mortar design.

Using mortar move without charge its the same as using sneack atack without stealth( maybe not) but some mortar moves ignore shields and HG imagine a enemy aegis for example at red HP with lets say 100HP he could be killed by piercing mortar easely in 1 hit even without charge…unless devs made those moves damage unable to ignore HG and shields(without charge)

Correct me if I’m wrong, there arent too many people running teams with a significant number of mortar monsters out there. I remember days that have long since past, Laxtank and Buck were all about running Throw teams. These days I don’t hear anyone amped about running mortar teams.

My point is that there really aren’t enough users of these guys where adding the ability to shell out 1 damage would change very much. If anything it would compel people to try out their mortar monsters and give us more diversity team wise.
