Yeah it seems so, just wanted to hurry up and finish so i can start working on something else😅

I really like the crystalize move, but unfortunately it disrupts your own link shadow team. If there was a shadow version of Diamonoid that would be lovely. Also, moonlight is too overpowered with anything that has hold ground. It could instead be they heal every time Tsukina gets a turn and make it, say, 500HP.

With those tweaks I think it would be an awesome design!

Twin 1 moveset -

Actives -

• Poison touch- 50 tu
• Charm - 60 tu
• Mark - 50 tu
• Twin Death Sentence -100 tu (death after 200tu has passed.)

SS-
• Detox Slash All - 160tu - Can only be used if the user is poisoned and has been on the battlefield more than once. Deals critical damage to all enemies and ignores hold ground/shield. Does not reset on switching.

Passives -

•Soul Sister - this monster shares a soul with her twin and has 2 health bars. it will not die unless her twin dies as well.

• Tag Team - Every time this Monster gets a turn it switches to her twin. this does not include its first turn or skipped turns. therefore status effects only last 1 turn on this monster.

Twin 2 Moveset-

Actives -

• Poison Eater - 160 TU
• Dreamcrush - 160 TU
• Cornered Snipe - 130 tu
• Early Trigger - 110tu

SS - Instant Accelerate 1tu (this does not count as a turn and does not reset when switched)

Passives

• Soul Sister - See Above

• Tag Team - See Above

Stat Distribution - Standard Defence for both

65- 75% Speed.

i first thought of this monster over a year ago and i think I’ve finally figured out a way of Switching the twins without them being 2 separate monsters in the team. the Automatic switching means that there will always be an opportunity to kill them. it also makes them weak to autopoison which i tried to counteract with the toxic slash all but strong vs sleep (since they will just lose the sleep when they switch).

They should be a single monster in the monster dex.

Very unique idea and looks like it would play well in practice. It would be interesting if there’s actually a way to code something like this

Definitely is. Its just a combination of few monsters that change every move like mula, and monsters that, when die, become another monster (kunomi)

Also this idea felt very familiar, and i remembered its something like tainted lazarus in binding of isaac. The idea is epic

Explain how do we kill her again with that passive
So what if something like dr hits her. Does she goes to like 0 hp but still stays alive till she does a move and switch back to her twin? And i couldnt kill the twin in time, will she switch back to the first twin whose hp is now 0?

yes basically. you have to kill both to beat them. 1 can survive on 0 Health until the other dies.

and if if the alive twin did a move while the other twin had 0 hp. will they still switch?

theoretically yes. however in that situation i would advocate that if the twin with 0 hp takes damage the living one takes it instead.

the moveset still switches.

basically think of it as 1 monster with two health bars with hold ground.

Disclosure: this is motivated by frustration with enraged novadrake which seems to be everywhere in PVP

What about a monster that has a passive where damage to that monster (or all team members or all field) would be calculated based on defense stat instead of attack stat?

I suspect this would be super unbalanced, especially considering how many monsters have defence buffs (e.g. hardened carapace). You’ve also got specific monsters like Bundam who would become crazy. I mean, the kind of team you’d build with this monster would basically require the opponent to be prepared with piercing attacks otherwise they’d get completely stomped.

A water one should be “Barnacoid”, a barnacle attached to a rockoid’s face

i really want another monster with bloomelugas water cannon move. maybe on a water rockoid?

bubbloid, hydroid, vaporoid, submarinoid are my suggestions for a name.
