Seems like a complicated combo that is super situational.
Oh yeah it doesnât always need to be done but I rarely remember losing after doing. Itâs a nice option to have. She also can save a stunned stun absorber. She really is so much better now but I agree on Delink being still lack luster/useless.

A mythic needs team building⊠Low tier
Tbf some of the highest tier mythics require teambuilding too (I know you are being sarcastic) like Rinmu with tokens (Rinmu with Nephthys also, if you say no to rinmu with Nephthys, good luck using rinmu without nephyths versus a rinmu player with nephthys, Night and day lol) while others like Whitara work standalone so teambuilding is not the only thing that determines if she is good or not. She is in a good spot imo. Way better than Selkette ever was, that unit is still so bad (for a limited non-anniversary mythic) and easily replaceable. Nothing unique or exceptional about her unlike Lacrimea.
@Killerdog, how do you land on Lacrimea being B in PvP? Would you actually use her? And if so, in what kind of setup? She clearly needs two strong teammates next to her to really function; otherwise, she ends up being a pretty slow and unreliable single-target sweeper while also opening you up to Chrono weakness.
On release, she was honestly awful in both PvE and PvP. At this point, I would say she is maybe a mediocre PvE Mythic, but still hard to justify in serious PvP teams.
This tells me enough. This was before the changes but it still is valid.
I donât think chrono weakness actually matters much any more. It was a big deal back when Padrinorca was extremely common and the likes of Dolphreeze and Raizen were running around. XYZ-999L is also getting pushed out more as stun counters become more plentiful. These days, being weak to protector/sleep killer moves is the problem.
I reckon the issue with her is how common piercing moves are and that will seemingly only increase with time. So where Iâm placing her now is likely her limit.
With that all in mind, I absolutely see her getting taken out without giving you any value. But she does require that piercing attack in order to deal with. If left alone there isnât really much stopping her sweeping with regularity. It seems to me like a perfectly respectable sweeper⊠better than other mythics out there but also not screaming overpowered in any way.
Thatâs how I settled on B tier. Why is it youâre thinking sheâs a slow and unreliable sweeper? Also, is âshe clearly needs two strong teammatesâ referring to specific monsters she synergises with?
Even after the buff, no one uses her, and the reason lies in the fact that the latter three skills are completely useless. The strength of the unbreakable shield is severely overestimated in the game.
I gave Devs some suggestions for buffs, which would make this monster usable and create synergy among its skills. However, itâs a pity that the devs only implemented the first one.
For Skill 1 Soul Siphon, change the activation condition from âenemy at full HPâ to âenemy at 90% HP or above.â
Skill 2 Element Massacre is a very old and poorly performing skill, and it does not synergize with her other abilities. It could be changed to:
80-second Overwatch â Give Turn: give turn to allies who have the Overwatch status. Limited to 5 uses.
Change the Overlink+ effect to: select one monster and grant it the Overwatch status. Reduce the seconds to 30 seconds. Limited to 5 uses.
Change Delink to: increase the wait time of one monster with Overlink by 100 seconds. Limited to 5 uses.
I think this is too much of a redesign. Sheâs built to kill things with overwatch rather than use it for control and the gimmick of overwatching the highest seconds monster seems like a clear intent.
Sheâs already got the secret skill for this.
To be fair to the Devs, they did give this a huge upgrade. The new move here not only ignores stealth but does way more damage. So itâs now a viable move against any team with 3-4 of the same element. It should be useful when you want to hit multiple at once rather than use her single target attack. Given she can give herself piercing in 30TU (faster than before) itâs also going to be easy to pull off when it lines up. I think it kind of fits with the moveset due to that piercing synergy and sheâs already full attack stats.
Can we stop saying that Element Massacre in any form is a good move for PvP.
I might be misremembering, but I think the element evaporate is a stronger version so you can genuinely get kills with it even when itâs not piercing. I think itâs something like:
- 3 of the same = one-shot squishy things
- 4 of the same = one-shot anything without a defence buff
Feel free to test it and get proper numbers, but I think thatâs what I saw from testing it without the excessive force. With excessive force I think itâs a one-shot to everything once there are three of the same element.
Obviously the TU is high, but I can totally see that being useful. Itâs a completely different story with the standard element massacre move⊠that move is too weak. Iâve seen many Aoi players surrender in shame/disappointment after trying to use it on my team and nothing dying.
The condition of having four monsters of the same element is extremely strict, even FL with four of the same element. Itâs almost impossible to encounter once throughout an entire ranked season. Let alone Lacrimea is not suitable for fl for her relatively low speed and humanoid race.
Lacrimea have already been buffed last season. But I havenât seen any of the top20 use her even she has not been on the limitation list. And I also bring her to my team, she definitely decreased the strength of my whole team. Itâs not normal for new monsters. The rest of her skills except the first skill is completely useless on over 90% situations. You can indeed list some situations she can be good used. Jurlungur is even more superpowerful in some conditions, can we say itâs a strong monsters?
Hello? I used her. I wish you guys had this much energy for Selkette too. She has never been restricted since her release but sure, letâs complain about Lacrimea who is totally fair and in a good place.
Selkette is already light-years ahead compared to her release date.
Was it? Can be killed easily even though she is supposed to be tanky , gives you poison weakness, 59tu for healing, 93TU sweeper that need to keep killing incoming monsters, a poison protecter/taunter and a purifier counters her straight away, horrible double hitting move while everyone before or after her got piercing version of it, etc etc.. I donât even count the recent buff, the real buff was her 93TU sweeping move actually sweeps now unlike on release.
Iâm not against buffing Lacrimea but Selkette was never ever good, just a replacable sweeper that didnât even work with other poison monsters and she worked with non-poison teams even less. I respect you for trying to make her work tho (the light goat combo with her so she doesnât suffer his passive or with Rozaliz taunt + auto poison).
Iâll use Selkette this season since most of my mythics will be limited but I donât have high hopes for her. She would be awesome in the FL if she was a humanoid.
Write a full Selkette buff / redesign. If I like it, I will support your efforts ![]()
I have already mentioned it before in the forum. My suggestion is to add void effects to her second skill or add stun assimilation to her passive.
