Kattmander its a heavy nerf

They cut hp boost for myths in half which makes them useless on myths without a huge defense or defense boosts.

Really ? A Mythic with 5.6k Def dying to Katt? I don’t remember the last time Katt put Aurordragon,a legendary with 4.6k and muxh lower Hp on HG. Is it the fault of the playerbase that Nyx gets one shotted ?They could have made it have rounded stats and it would ensure a Fermata

the number dont acctuly mean anything

zep has rounded stats which means its values is the same as a prisempaw feks

the diffrence is the hp thats why hp boosted maple was so good since it had the defence values of a bastia and the same amount of hp ish with a boost

Yeah I used to make that same mistake. The actual defense number doesn’t mean anything. Only the type does.

Just move on and build something it’s not that hard

A good advice : Stay away from nerf discussions, understand the basics , fortune shrine ,pve , pvp ,do your trainer dojo to understand the mechanics , defeat magatosh, then we will talk about it again

Light/Dark bane has a multiplier of 0.6.

Damage against standard attack (Nyx) = 0.6 * 1.25 * 5150 ^2 / 3950 = 5035 ±10%
Damage against rounded (Zephyramus) = 0.6 * 1.25 * 5150 ^2 / 4600 = 4324 ±10%

Nyx has 4377 or 4877 HP, so gets one-shot by the 4532-5538 damage guaranteed if not HP boosted and probably 65% of the time if HP boosted.

Zephyramus has 4733 or 5233 HP, so has maybe 5% chance of being one-shot by the 3892-4756 damage and only if not HP boosted.

When it comes to mythics, if they’re rounded stats or better then they’re completely safe once they’re HP boosted. The one things that are at risk are the high speed standard attack ones and the full attack ones.

Did you take into account Katt’s SS? I swear Katt used to do a lot more than that.

Yeah, notice the 1.25 in the calculation after the 0.6

The ironic thing no one was complaining about kattmander and it got nerfed but charybida and prixis are untouched

Lately this happens a lot, the last nerfs that comminuty agreed was carmilla blood drain and vixenblade , after that nothing , devs doing weird nerfs no one asked , or maybe somone asked and we didnt know

Vixenblade got nerfed decently with - losing boosts it with protector and demoralise. I think it’s fine now. Still S plus tier but not as oppressive as before.

Vixen deserved that 1st nerf , then people stopped complaining about her its for sure one of the strongest monsters in the game but obviously at some points some mythics should be stronger you cant have all of them just fine ,but despite no complaining she got a 2 nd nerfs in row , and the ones the community discussed for months stay untouched :skull:

Has i said before - no monster should be able to wipe out other monsters with instant acelerate+atack boost and 99% speed
Has a Shadow link lover i needed to run a AP or AT at FL just to avoid that thing , making my team weak to assassinate/ true hit .
Its a fair nerf , stop crying and move on
Lets focus on the real problem AKA charyb 74% Speed and prixis

Just because katt counters you it doesnt mean its a fair nerf , as the majority of the comunity agree up there (read well :wink:)

Prixis counters your nova enrage shadow /stealth setup :joy: welll finally im against prixis nerf she is fine as she is , from now on i will support she stay untouched

I think people are quick to say that no one asked for it, and that might be true from the perspective of the forum users, but the devs are obviously using Data behind the decisions they make. Maybe Katt was just too common. It seemed like it to me

Just because a lot of people agree its a unfair nerf doesnt mean they are right
Kill at 99 speed its not fair simple has that
PS i doesnt play nova enrage in decades you are dreaming about it

Its true kattmander is very popular , but does being popular a good reason to nerf ?? Nerfs should be given to agressive monsters , overpowered ones

Twin killers have been in the game since the very beginning. Canishogun still has 95% speed flame eater, Glaciaron instant toxic killer and kinslayer. There are loads of examples.

Katt is simply a counter to holy/shadow. It’s designed like a twin killer and kept in balance by its low defence and inability to kill tanky monsters. I don’t know how it’s problematic in any way.

I don’t think it’s to do with the data either. If you look in PvP event reports it’s was basically top most used in the front line for a long time, but has dropped lower since season 59 (August 2023). So it’s fallen in popularity in the top 100 players. Seems like a really weird time to decide to nerf it.
