Kami on PvP not rare

haha Tib, I also get DCed quite often, but not as often as before. I personally don’t really care for PvP stats because they don’t do anything in this game

Apparently a lot of people care about there win/loss ratio by the number of players that disconnect right before the battle ending hit.

I have a question. I see more and more Kamis with a lot of battles against the same ones. If and when the update ever comes out, will you still be able to distinguish hackers from the other players? Do the devs even care if they can. The hackers are probably encouraging other players to spend more money to try to learn to time eggs and stay competitive. As long as hackers stay away from unreleased arks, it doesn’t seem that they can be effectively dealt with. After all the bottom line in profits is more important than a fair playing field. At least that is what it would be if I was a developer.

The hackers are all using the exact same file and the Devs have been keeping track of said file and which systems have it.

They will be taken care of in the next update

I know you’re tired of hearing it and we’re tired of saying it.

You’ve made your opinions on what the Devs are doing and how they want to make money clear.

Personally, I’m tired of it and I’m tired of the negativity.

There is a line between an even playing field and profit and I do believe they will walk in that line when the update releases. I also agree that mistakes have been made and it’s been handled rather poorly but at least we have something rather than nothing

So I must kindly ask you to help stop spewing the negativity that has been plaguing this forum since the problems became obvious

The negativity is a result of not being supplied any real information. The mods keep supplying information about the update and when it will be released. I have invested a few hundred dollars into this game based on the information being released. I just think it is time that we get a REAL update on when an update is expected to be released and some information of what problems will be corrected. Every problem that is complained about for months gets the response that the devs know about it and it will be fixed in the next update. The only real information supplied by the devs is that a new game is coming and a significant portion of the code is being rewritten. I thought this forum is a place to discuss problems. The biggest of which is that we know nothing about the update. I think the mods should stop continually saying “it will be fixed in the update” and just say I hope it will be fixed in the future. I enjoy the game but have stopped spending any money because of all of the false information supplied about the update. Is only negativity about Apple allowed on this forum. The mods have no problem with generating that. They complain how picky Apple is about the code. From my experience, there are a lot of garbage Apps out there. Apparently Apple isn’t very picky.

I agree on your points, but I also agree to deadpool too. The problem is obvious, and currently we can’t do anything about it. And complaining isn’t going to make things better either. But at least the dev keep updating the free online missions. They’ve done more that the worth of 99c, but maybe not enough for the hundurds of dollars in your case…

I agree that it is a great game and well worth the money. I don’t regret spending 30 or 40 dollars a month on a good game. It is well worth it for the many hours of entertainment. I would be less negative if I was told an update is coming in 3 or 4 months. It just get very annoyed at being fed false information.

And your complaints are justified but again there is only so much that can be done and personally, I would like to at least get the community to a happier place while we’re waiting for the update.

You can sit and continue to make the same criticisms that you have made for weeks all you want but it isn’t going to go any faster or make it any easier. This forum can and should be used to discuss the problems but I don’t think hounding and posting the same issues and making the same statements about the issues all over the forum helps the situation at all.

Obviously, the update is going to be bigger than they thought and what we have been discussing for months. Obviously, mistakes have been made. These cannot be made anymore obvious than they already are

I can also guarantee you that they have had problems with Apple before during the DIB Update. They had to submit it two or three times because they didn’t like the coding on the update. That’s part of the reason I believe they are recoding the entire game

That said, from the sounds of the last update they posted, that might be all we get for awhile and that disappoints me but again, it’s four guys that are half a world away from each other because they are based in Seattle and Japan.

I can only imagine how much of a pain that is trying to code not one but two games when the time difference is a huge pain in the butt

Technically it is going to be fixed in an update. How else would it be fixed?

Technicality aside, we (as in moderators) really, honestly have no idea about the status of the update. That announcement by admin? Yes, that was news for us too. Right now we know pretty much the same amount of information as you (as in everyone) do. Whether you believe it or not is up to you, but hey, you’re saying some information is better than nothing. I agree. So the moderators are saying “It’ll be fixed in the update” because otherwise people will think nothing’s going to be fixed, and we’re hoping and almost nearly sure it will be, because if we (as in everybody) don’t believe in the devs, who will? If you want the game to succeed, dissing the devs aren’t going to help. I’m not saying you ARE dissing the devs. I’m just saying a little patience will be nice.

Okay, please don’t explode on me! :c I know everyone’s sick of hearing “BE PATIENT” and “SOOOONNNNNNN” but as I said… what else can we do? Would you rather us (as in mods) stay silent, not saying a single thing about the update?

If that’s what you want, then that’s what I’ll do. We’re just regular ole users chosen by the devs to try to keep a forum healthy and alive… not people hired by the company. Negativity, as Deadpool says, is not good for this forum. It’s making it unhealthy and potentially dead. We’re just trying to make this place the happier, healthier place it used to be, that’s all. :c

Believe me, guys, I want the update too. But I’m willing to wait because what else can I do? Posting on the forums won’t do anything, will it? Sure it’ll release my frustration but it’ll only cause others to be frustrated as well. So please just enjoy the game as it is now, or, if it’s unenjoyable, play another game. Or just stay on the forums and chat, make friends! It’s not like the world revolves around Hunter Island.

And bvs72, I hate to be fed false information as well. But you must understand that those “false information” were very, very true up until the point it was proven false. The devs honestly thought the update would be coming in early January. We all did. And now it’s more than a month late. If they gave a date, and then something else pops up, won’t people get angry again? Claiming that’s “false information” as well?

Is this the correct phrase? “Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.” or something.

Basically don’t take everything for granted, because mistakes can and do happen. As they do now.

So I say to everyone, please calm down. We’re all stressed, with the game and, for some of us, school/work/life in general. Getting upset about something you can’t help will only serve to worsen this stress.

And yes, I understand, I really, really do. How you just want a word from the developers, to be reassured that they do, in fact, care. But sometimes they just can’t. They’re too busy trying to meet the demands of theirselves, their family… and you. And while they may not be the case, let’s just say it is.

Optimism is the way to go! Hurray! Even if some of you are usually pessimistic, I will serve as that one annoying guy that tries to always look on the bright side! 'Cause a dark room can get cold, ya know.

Good day/night. c:
