I think there’s one thing we can agree on- Moltenpede is easily the biggest piece of garbage that’s been ejected out of any event, ever. I thought nothing could possibly get worse than snowhulk, but boy was I wrong. Molt pretty much took all the fatal flaws of snowhulk, amplified them, and ditched every one of the few assets that came with them. The flaws being that a- he’s never going to be able to kill anything no matter what(I’m hardly exaggerating), b- there is no synergy to his moves whatsoever(cough cough, DS + drain, cough cough), and c) his passive doesn’t do any good since the opponent has zero motivation to kill him anyway. I can’t recognize any strategy to it at all- It’s almost like they picked his moveset randomly.
What the heck happened guys? Why do you keep sending out such horrible monsters? You do test the monsters that you release, right? I think a good way to see if a monster will do any good is to decide on what his battle plan is- for example, Galvbane’s general plan is use PK if you can, if not, use timestrike if you can, if not, use stun pulse and timestrike. Molt’s plan is basically use zealous attack, and if his health is low… DS? Or drain? Molt is at a serious dilemma as to what he should do. No monster should ever have to suffer such a dilemma. In fact, come to think of it, I know exactly what he should do when at low health: kill himself with zealous recoil so that your team can be rid of the useless pest.
I disagree with this, I think that moltenpede isn’t useless. They finally released a monster that can remove poison from the enemy. Use it in a sleep team with metatherion or goldtail.
Well, first of all, we already have valzareign. Second, molt is a SE, he should have way, way more utility than that. Just compare him to robinator, searguard and abyssraider. He doesn’t come close.
Valzaraign is a legend, not everyone has him. He is slow too. With the speed of banedragon frontlines and the fact that valza actively discourages putting him in front he is a useless counter.
I agree with moltenpede probably needing a little change, but he is not as useless as you make him out to be.
After you have established a sleep lock, cannibalize him to bring in leogeist. Stun revenge has other untility too. To me he is a rexkong who’s job is to set up sleep, rather than kill something really fast.
If youre running a sleep team, the only option for the other team to be poisened is an incoming bane on their side and of course that bane will patiently wait until you have removed the poison from every single one of the 4 monsters, luc is right, the guy is absolute ■■■■

Tl:dr you owe molt and hulk a serious apology.
Nailed it dude
Here we are signing petitions ,asking, screaming , threatening and even at times begging to bring back ‘good’ old event monsters like croc , searzel , robin etc but they hardly release 1 in a 60 day interval and just keep coming with new worthless se , now even I am losing patience along with interest :v need some se synergy with my legends , so either start making some useful new se like searguard (thanks Dev for that) or just keep rotating old ones I am positive most here would rather have a SE potion in place of a completely useless se.
Bane is slow, first thing you do is poison drain him and snooze him. In the likely event that you have a legend TT you then TT, poison drain, snooze the next guy, and then gt poison drain again. Then snooze again. This leaves them with one guy with which to do anything. Metatherion accelerates this process with being able to remove another poisoned monster with double dreamhunt.
I think Zard has a point that it has a plan for being used. But by the same logic, sleep monsters are really slow, too. Also not many people put them directly in the FL without SS. This monster is probably highly directed to those that have exactly every legendary you’re mentioning. I think the other real issue is that these free SE monsters are meant to help the F2P group, but when the chances of every synergizing this monster for a F2P player except Shomy (who said was leaving) is low. I think another issue that should be brought up is that for the majority of people, this monster is pretty useless - either they dont have Met, goldtail, Leo, Zib, TT, etc.
So rather than it being useless, I think a better way might be to put it as, it’s useless for most people who don’t actually have all those monsters that Zard pointed out. I guess a counter might be not everyone has bane, but people do use abyss, and autoimmune poisoners (which were easier to get as your first roll for a while, so those players might have it).

I know there been better monster like abysssraider, but this monster isn’t the “sweeper” type, this monster is helping monster to sweeps.just put him beside two poision killer monster(poision eater or massacre) and hallelujah, you will have a good fl.just thinking of possibilities, bane and this and another poision though and poision eater.
No, I’m in love with this monster, especially because all player(mostly like us f2p type) have at least 2-3 monster with poision, this is somehow final piece of puzzle.
Hope you can use it well too
Have fun

While I don’t think that Moltenpede is garbage, I have no idea why the developers gave it Stun Revenge of all passives. Based on its moves, I feel that Hold Ground would be much better.
I agree it could give him better chance to be in field for longer but since he’s co-monster type,I think that’s the reason for stun revenge passive.

Are you sure you’re not just buttering him up? Because I fail to see any way that he could be such a “final piece” in a poison lineup. I mean sure, he has poison touch. You know who else has that? Robinator. Know what else he has? Assassinate and bloodfury, and also poison revenge for even more poison synergy. You see, it’s not good enough to judge a monster on a one to ten scale of good vs. bad, that by itself is not going to cut it. The real way to determine its value is to compare it to other monsters; to decide whether it’s worth running Molt instead of Robinator or Abyssraider, or perhaps Bonetalon. There’s no doubt that he would do some good in a poison team, but there is absolutely nothing he brings to the table that tons of far superior mons can’t bring as well, excepting of course the hyper specific combination that Zard mentioned. He simply does not shape up next to his SE piers.
I completely agree,no defending and no arguing. I only said its good but not perfect, and yes I must edite my previous saying,he’s not final piece, just one of them.but I am still a fan of him, since he has a drain skill to heal him and with a TT and a double poisioner though/massacre,I think they can be a huge help.if I made a mistake, sorry, but compare to that water monster from last(poision immune with blood crone),I prefer this one.
Have fun

If I recall correctly, I believe we were told that there were going to be a wide variety of differing archetypes with a vast amount of skills. It was their intent to release more and more over time, and eventually evolve the game.
Sure, this monster might seem weak, but that perspective might change as new kits are implemented, and even if it doesn’t, there’s always a variance in strengths, you know? Not all monsters are created equal, in any game, and that adds to the diversity of it. Regardless, it is a free monster ya know.
And what’s the point of a tier list if every monster had the same viability? Puuttting that out there.
I don’t claim to have any knowledge of the meta, after all when I played the only legendaries in the game were Flarevern, Angelon, and Guardiron if memory serves. But they worked really hard to make a dynamic game, that much can be appreciated.
Wow,I think you are play this game for too long,so you may even saw hector!!!
I really hope they release abyssraider soon,so poision team can rule with no comments.
Auto poision,poision entrance,poision immune,poision drain,poision eater and poision brust.
It will be very difficult to stop these then.

Yeah, of course, with the right pool of legends in support every monster is good, stand alone you basically prooved the point that the monster is ■■■■.
