It’s…uhhh…March 20th…how about an update???
Another factor taking up our time is that we are simultaneously moving our engine from Cocos2d to Unity. This involves rewriting nearly 50% of our code, but this will allow us to develop more complex games in a shorter timeframe. We can also transfer future games to other platforms, which is a huge plus for us and fans who don’t have iOS devices.
Try rewriting about 50% of the code in a month and a half.
We don’t know how much is 50%, but I’m pretty sure it’s a lot. So all we can do now is just sit tight… y’all waited, what? Three months? Four? Surely you can wait a bit longer for another update on the update. Plus Ryan’s with us now, so it’s not as desolate as it was a while ago.
Plus, the developers have lives too. They have families to care for, personal things to deal with, and so on.
^unfortunately not everyone thinks like that.

There wont be wild release of monster in the update. The online island idea is being tested. Not sure if we will do it or not (if it proves to be really buggy, we will just delay it to next update because we want to get this update out asap).
The move to unity is going smoothly as well as new game development.
We are “updating” the game with weekly missions. New dungeon every week is a pretty big commitment for us (it takes time to prepare one!).
That said, the update is in the final testing stages, should be able to submit it very soon. We have another update planned after that too, which is actually mostly done as well

Make sure to cache calls to properties ‘transform’, ‘renderer’, etc… not many people know this, but these implement GetComponent behind the scenes and can have a performance hit on mobile!
IT is not a month and a half, we had this problem back in December so its more like 4 months to update a game…

I’m pretty sure the month in a half part was the expectancy of the update, not how long it’s been.
If you bothered to read the OP assassin, you will see that Ryan clearly stated that they’re recoding the game. That does take a bit of time. And in December/January, they said that they’re working on it. Then they decided to recode it so that it was easier to work on.
I am kind of excited to see the new game.
I read though the forum and quite happy to hear that the monsters move.
Even then that takes a bit of work so I don’t mind waiting for the new game and update,
because when it comes out it will be well worth the wait. c:
^im not sure if all the arks are being moved over(over 700 monsters still!), but it does sound awesome.
Right now zigzagames makes the best games in my opinion.

The cap on BAs would only apply to PVP
The PvE will be unaffected

PvE is perfect as it is. Except for the annoying stun arks.
Update is real and coming It has indeed been forever though, and we really apologize for that. We do “update” the game on a weekly basis though, making a new dungeon every week is a lot more work than you might think
