How to Propel this Game to Popularity (List of Complains/Possible Changes)

Also, what do u guys think about the other points? If the raid boss or free SSR idea is well received, I can make some idea sketches.

@DLTO idk if that analogy makes sense in this context

(Especially considering that you edited your post a few times )

You never answered my question though… what would’ve you spent your 99 cents on if you didn’t buy Evertale?

No man. Look at what I wrote. The analogy I used is extremely similar to what I wrote.

The edited version is the exact same thing except that I wrote “I throw 100s of dollars.” Got rid of that because it seemed like I was flexing.

Also, everything that I edited on the og post were grammar mistakes. You can look at the edits.

Give the game a few months to adjust. I say at least 4 to 6 months.

Despite the fact I am not pleased with Act 2’s design, I am grateful for the awesome Act 1 journey. The play through is worth more than just under a dollar and I will still highly recommend people to buy it just for the sake of Act 1.

I want to believe in ZigZaGames.

Also just going to point out, final part of act 1 is very much a not “the main character is super powerful and rolls over the enemy”.

Yeah sure, even if the main character goes over everything, at least there is a good explanation: they are literally fated to do so.

Your generalization of the story does not line up here. It doesn’t work. Even if it did there would be a reason for it too that is perfectly logical.

Well I did point this out previously.

The last battle doesn’t count (in my opinion) because for a character to change, it can not just be an immediate win afterward. Finn needs to go through the phase of learning something new from the experience of hitting rock bottom. IDK man. I might be stretching it at this point.

I think it would have been interesting if there was a npc that would become emotionally important for the player and would die at some stage. Or if Finn needed to choose from two options who to save from a lethal blow. It could have taught him that you always can’t save everyone. That could have been the “rock bottom moment”. It felt a little unrealistic that the Pandemonium force was able to save literally everyone and nobody was lost in the battles. Only the bad guys that were beyond return died.

(RIP Alfred though, press F to pay respect )

This might sound messed up but I think it would have been interesting if Finn was forced to kill Theo. This would make Rizette and Oz turn on him, ending the friendship between the characters and perpetuating a war between the strongest characters in the story. IDK sounds nice.

Maybe not kill but make a decision that would lead to his death

I wasn’t being sarcastic about the fan fic thread suggestion btw.
I might even contribute to such a thread. It can be fun to imagine backstory of characters, or reimagine the storyline. :woman_shrugging:t2:

I was planning on making an idea sketch for the free SSR quest idea. Afterwards, I’ll try to make a fan fic thread! I think a fan fic thread would be great.

His dad died.

We don’t have an emotional connection to him.

You don’t, finn does.

And?

I’m dead serious, I want to know!

Yo dude. I think you’re too fixated on the numerical value of this game. I never said that the game was not worth a dollar. If you read closely too my original post, I say that I “Don’t really know much to say about this” when talking about the price tag. Then I go on to say that “TYPICALLY, games that cost money should have the quality to match it (I see a lot of people complaining about this),” meaning that I don’t personally see anything wrong with the price but lots of people do. When I said that this game’s pricetag may seem “astronomical,” I was not being literal. I literally said in parenthesis right after that it is ironical because I spend so much more money on other games and I still consider the dollar to be worth so much.
