I am currently at rank 70 and only paid for the game on play store and that’s it, I noticed the game is becoming extremely difficult and some battles I have to repeat 10 times to win…
Is it possible to finish the game without paying?

Yes
Yes, it is possible. To maximise your success focus on training or rolling monsters that have skills that ignore hold ground and barriers. They will pretty much always deal good damage even though your opponent has big buffs. Sleep and dreamhunt is also very powerful.
With the exception of 3 of my (less then essential) monsters, all of my progress has been f2p. What you lack in money you have to make up for with a whole lot of dedication, and just a little bit of ingenuity. I didn’t get into top level play until probably a year in. But boy is it rewarding hehehe

thank you for not underestimating it by saying “a little of dedication” because it really is alot of dedication. altough, I don’t know how much I can talk since I am no longer f2p but I am not one of those who awakens mythics at will either.
also, just like lucrayzor said, it definitely is rewarding.
for pve, if you have any monster with crescendo strike, you will have so much easier time.
for pvp, I would say, wait for the nerfs. lol (and keep grinding those free gems for a huge festivals)

I finished the game and am able to finish most online events as a F2P.
It takes time and you’re in a severe disadvantage in PvP, but you can get at a comfortable spot no problem.

You have some good monsters but don’t worry your collection will get bigger and bigger with time and if you need help for team building don’t hesitate to ask us.

Don’t underestimate your Lunaratic. When I was just starting out that was one of my key monsters. It’s ability is so helpful for shutting down the flow of enemy teams. If you pair it with Luxuriyon, which is in the bottom row of your super epics, you could slow down an enemy team long enough to allow some of your sweepers to set up.

Lunaratic is the big moon legend. Lux is the light dragon with the blue face. Luxuryion is its final form. Not sure what it’s second form is called
