What did I ever do to you for such hostility? I’m just trying to be reasonable here. She just released and making such drastic changes to her isn’t in the Dev’s best interest. I’m just giving out small ideas to incorporate in her existing kit.
I never said I was good at PVP or that I’m better than others, I just play for fun with whatever I want.
Yeah, no hard feelings. I’m used to pulling for subpar Mythics like Majorie and Vixian and trying to make them work PVP. Vixian is a lot better now but Majorie still needs some help.
I’m just glad we are getting Mythics with “unique” identities than the usual blood move sweeper or traditional tank/support. Honghua is different but still essentially a sweeper (albeit slow and clunky).
Soul Missle+ having focus solved the 2 sacrifice cost issue kind of. Being able to snipe something for low tu if you have throw fodder is pretty busted (in throw teams).
Thank you for the feedback, guys. We’ve heard your concerns and suggestions. Our goal is to bring fresh playstyles to monsters, rather than just giving a mythic monster common strong skills like ‘bloodthirst’ or ‘stun counter’ and calling it a day.
In our assessment, she can be hard to stop once she gets going (when there are 3 or 4 copies on the field). That’s why we’ve been extra cautious in designing her skills to prevent any potential abuse by some random genius mad lads in ranked PvP.
Once we are confident that she is not abusable and overpowered (and it appears she isn’t), we will give her the buffs that a mythic monster deserves. Our intention is to avoid nerfing mythic monsters whenever possible. We prefer to start with a monster that might seem slightly underwhelming and then gradually buff it, ensuring it doesn’t disrupt the game’s balance or become toxic to the meta.
Thing is its not a rocklock like mons where you trying to snipe mons behind ap…
I think functionality wise it has remained exactly same and the ss still isnt worth it imo. Nor her passives are anything unique which support her play style.
I meant that Vixian wasn’t put in a situation where you use two throw fodder only for it to be wasted on a taunt/auto protect when you were trying to target the enemy Carmilla or DR mon. She has some more consistency to her current kit that is and was always subpar. Her strict team building options don’t really help her much either but at least she’s in a better spot in throw teams now.
To sum it up it, she won’t help most general teams but in a throw team with proper setup, she’s a force to be reckon with now that she can kill whatever she wants on the enemy team without worrying about revenges and protectors.
This could be said about most other Mythics or neomons with really niche/specific abilities that are stuck on certain teams to be usable. Honghua in this topic’s title for instance is terrible for teams that rely on sleep/stun/token locking the opponent and better off in more generalized teams.
The main problem with HongHua is that you can’t fit her in any standard setups. You can’t run shield/stealth team, sleep too, she is not helpful to poison teams and also stun lock is no longer a thing. General brute force myth spam teams might work for her but there are better options to spam myths with than her. Also, as an anniversary mythic, she won’t be any help to f2p or newer accounts, because of her awful entrance. Noone use Shiny Wavetail outside of Kirina users, and you meet them twice a year (shoutout to Penelopy).
Yeah, I was just generalizing. I know Honghua has issues but I wanted the discussion to stay on topic so I mentioned her at the end of my Vixian response.
