Thnx for the feedback yonfire. Yeah I can see that putting gremknight before barricadus makes more sense. The reason I put subzeratops where it is is because i wanted to have guardian users spreaded throughout my team. So goldenhorn in the lead, then barricadus in the middle, and then subzeratops near the end, but I’ll toy around with something else to replace it along with positioning my mossgolem and see where it goes.
It might be worth getting angelon and replacing the coldheart. You can keep subzero where it is currently and then you will retain the tanks (3 serves me well so I am fond of that number) but to have the holy ark there instead of the water will prevent, things like shisagaurd and even don from doing serious damage to them(or in rare cases when a raijin pops up that far down a match). I don’t know why I thought of it now but I think that’s why I didn’t like them together. Last suggestion before bed =) have a good one
I’m looking for suggestions for my pvp team. Please let me know if I should change my order at all and/or if I should try and acquire some new arks.
Angelon - S
Arkwing - S
Nilomoth - S
Magmawyrm - E
Coldheart - S
Gaiawyrm - B
Mossgolem - S
Skullwraith - S
Luxknight - C
Plasmorex - S
Nilox - C
Typhonwyrm - E
Leviathan - E
Omegawyrm - B
Thunderback - A
The below I would recomend trying to swap out for either tanks or some sort of support ARK. So anywhere from 4-6 arks depending on what you’d like to go after, the two with notations could stay if you’d like and still be good additions.
Gaiawyrm - B
Skullwraith - S
Nilox - C
Coldheart - S (this is a middle of the road ARK for me I do like him and he is strong just not as fond)
Leviathan - E
Plasmorex - S (this is a middle of the road ARK for me I do like him and he is strong just not as fond)
Recomendations for swapping could be any of the below really-
Barricadus
Raioh (i really do love this guys the more i use him, and i dont run a stun team either)
Gremknight has pretty solid control and utility
Chopperbug, I’ve grown less fond of as of late but still a great creature
Shadowlance
Don penguini
egg/om tanks: I dont know if you have access to them but goldhorn or subzerotops would be nice additions
Metalodious can do well in a pinch
Anubis is pretty easily obtainable, just have to be consistent with the colliseum (decently viable to since you have lux and angelon)
Dreadwolf a bit harder to farm but an option
Necrodrake (definitely not my favorite tank but obtainable and would be way better thanmetalodious)
I’d go to the first town and click on the tombstone and type in “dragon island” no quotes, it’ll get you a pretty good ark if you havn’t already
The below are all great additions and make for a solid baseline and they are staples currently in the meta game.
Angelon - S (good)
Arkwing - S (good)
Nilomoth - S (good)
Magmawyrm - E (good)
Mossgolem - S (good)
Luxknight - C (good)
Typhonwyrm - E (good)
Omegawyrm - B (good)
Thunderback - A (good)
Take a look at the recomendations and if anything catches your eye that you’d like to go after, or if you just really want to keep using certain guys let me know and I can help you with a lineup from there. =D I have to know what you can/want to go after and then build after that. Or if you have any questions as to why some of the recomendations I can throw out some tips.
Hi Guys, I am new to the game. I’ve been playing 2-3 weeks, but put in a ton of time. I’ve finished the story mode and finished all quests. I’ve also farmed a lot of rares. I’m doing pretty average at PvP and any help with some strategies would be much appreciated.
Here are my best monsters in the order I have them for PvP:
Barricadus
Arkwing
Plasmorex
Luxknight
Nilomoth
Pyrowyrm
Nilox
Searex
Vulcaraptor
Archeonis
Fireheart
Angelon
Shadowlance
Leviathan
Thunderback
Thanks for your suggestions and advice!
you do have quite a bit of good stuff. I’d say as a long term goal try and get that omegawyrm built. A few reasons:
Archeonis can by replaced by typhonwyrm
Vulcaraprot or pyrowyrm could be subbed out with the magma wyrm
And Omega could replace a few of your lower star guys. He’s just a beast, especially at the end of a line.
I’d go to the first town and click on the tombstone and type in “dragon island” no quotes, it’ll get you a pretty good ark if you havn’t already. who alone could replace the archeonis freeing up the typhon for another spot.
In general you probably will want at least one more tank if not two, I menton a few in the last post i did, but the highlights for easiest of obtaining are Necrodrake and anubis (they are garanteed with just enough time dedicated to them)
Lastly maybe consider a stun skin guy with stungift or haste or both.
Is there any particular type of play you like?
Brute force or tactical, or stall?
Added Yonfire to the helpers section. Lol
I’m way too busy atm, so a lot of advice will come from the other helpers…probably.
Perhaps we’ll make a guide with many suggested strategies for each league? Idk…
that would be cool Tiberius, reference material is always nice.
Mmkay. Later, then…way too busy right now.
And besides, more strategies will be available as more monsters are released.
Totally, I’ll start skimming through the thread next week and try and compile some of the most recomended things, tips tricks all that good stuff and we can get a collaboration going =D
Sounds good~
Thanks! I am a tactician, but I haven’t really spend any time reading up on the best PvP strategies. I got Don Penguini thanks to your advice. I should probably put him at the end? I am going to work on Anubis tonight and start looking at Omega.
As a tactician you might like the sneaky things like me >=D
My personal favorite is moves that hit all targets from S rank ARK’s with stun gift on them. So say coldheart, arkwing, and raioh.
Don penguini is solid at the end you may even like this setup>
Kentucky > Angelon > Raijin > Don penguini
For now I’d focus on the Omega, he really is a power house, anubis you can get 1 step closer each day, and necro… well he may take awhile depending on where all your ark’s are level wise. But the above should give you something to think about for now. Play with it and comeback when your ready to discuss a more finalized lineup =D
Just a quick tip: It’s always good to know what you have, are willing to use, want to use, and where you would like to be that you can reach. So if you have a list of ARK’s you are working towards and after playing with some of the above mentioned things, get a list together and jsut want some recomendations on lineup stop on in =D
Hope this helps for now though.
Hello together,
I just found this threat and wanted to ask for some help to optimize my hand, so far I’m using:
Inferonwyrm, Luxknight, Barricadus, Coldheart, Plasmorex, Subzeratops, Typhonwyrm, Mossgolem, Nilox, Nilomoth, Angelon, Raptorex, Arkwing, Volcawolf and Don Penguini
in reserve I could offer:
Goldenhorn, pyrowyrm, Ventowyrm, Hydrowyrm, Leviathan, Rooknight, Frillzeon, Anubis and Felimancer
I would really appreciate your inputand would like to know what you would build out of that and why.
Thx in advance!
Can you tell me a little bit about how you play with it? any particular thing that you want to keep in there? or dont mind loosing?
So I’ve just thrown my hat into the PvP arena and came up with the following line-up:
- Raioh
- Volcawolf
- Goldenhorn
- Frillzeon
- Gremknight
- Rooknight
- Mossgolem
- Vegitiger
- Shisaguard
- Shadowlance
- Luxknight
- Omegawyrm
- Angelon
- Raijin
- Don Penguini
I’ve played two matches (in Rookie, so it’s probably very different to Expert/Master) and have been using Army Flame to start and No Guard with Rooknight and Mossgolem, followed by a Penguini showdown if required at the end.
Any thoughts on where I could improve this? I’ve got all the arks bar Minespider, Charcalynx and Astroleon.
Thx for the fast reply.
So far I played that I have a mix of durable monsters and damage dealers always coming to my hand to provide protection, heal for the damage makers. I figured it is good to start with a strong holy unit like Luxknight or Angelon at the beginning to counter the usual opening of many people with a Barricadus and other Shadow like units. I also like having Infernowyrm pretty much at the beginning because he is dealing lots of damage and Volcawolf at the end because of Vengeance. Besides of that I’m pretty flexible to the order or which monsters to keep in or not. Personally I think that my main problem is atm the Time Unit management, I try to use the attacks which make the most sense depending against which monsters I’m fighting at that moment.
Once more my Monsters with their grades:
-
Infernowyrm ( B )
-
Luxknight ( C )
-
Barricadus ( A )

I’m really short on time, so I’ll give some quick tips and let Yon take care of the rest…
…like REALLY short on time, gotta run real soon.
First of all, don’t underestimate the power of low-star monsters. Stun skin monsters are very valuable in the PvP world. One suggestion could be to place a Goldenhorn and then a stun skin right before Infernowyrm+Frillzeon+Vulcawolf…so you have a tank to protect damage, stun enemies, and then no+resist (if possible) and then Army flame to KO 3…then you still have Infernowyrm to deal more damage.
Also, I would put Angelon much closer to Don Penguini so that you have the ability to sacrifice if need be.
Also, Rooknight is weak…but he’s very useful. Try him in between Barricadus and another monster. It’s moves are pretty much built to be next to a strategic monster and a tank. I will let Yon explain in detail…but basically, Rooknight can make even a Barricadus be a strong monster. Lolol.
I’ve run a few setups with rooknight, and when Tib says he’s weak he means, don’t let him get hit or he’s a goner. =P The best setup I’ve found to get the most mileage out of him is something similar to this:
stunner > tank > either rookknight or secondary damager > either rookknight or secondary damager(the opposite of the first)> tank
The first thing I will note is that second tank is not in there to be no defensed… unless you are absolutely sure you can kill off enough arks to make it really worthwhile, I saw maybe 2 times where I did this so it doesn’t happen often.
I prefer stunner > tnk > secondary > rook > tank
As soon as I see the stunner will die I try and make sure that my tank and my secondary are low on TU, so when rook comes in and no defenses I can start plowing away. The second tank is to make sure that the only damage they can take is from AOE sources (so they are more likely to live))
I love rook, but you really have to make the opportunity happen for him.
Hey there!
I think it’s good you believe that the TU management is where you need the most work, it really is a pretty big part of PVP. Some people think it’s just kill everything as fast as you can, which isn’t always the case. You can get in extra attacks by manipulating the TU in several ways some examples:
Sleep, stun, skipping turns (I wont get to much into this but if you skip a turn your ARK goes behind your opponent’s next ark, this can be very powerful but also super risky if done wrong)
My tip on that is keep practicing and try to judge as best you can, you’ll get it no time units (< had too).
Onto the portion you probably were most hoping for, apart from the quick suggestions that Tib made which does seem to hit you and Ng88, Let’s see about fun stuff and rosters. You could look into the army flame option(I’ll be addressing it with Ng88s lineup below if you want to see what that looks like) Tib put up, but since he’s not in your current line up I’ll look at other options for you.
-
Luxknight ( C )
-
Barricadus ( A )
-
Arkwing ( S )
-
Plasmorex ( S ) (I might recommend gremknight in plasmo’s place, plasma is pretty easy to one shot, and grem can knockback tanks, or water element to give inferno more time to get in damage, plasma does do some solid damage, I think his utility/lifeexpecatnacy is a little lacking)
-
Goldenhorn ( C ) (in)
-
Infernowyrm ( B )
-
Nilomoth ( C )
-
Coldheart ( C )
-
Typhonwyrm ( A )
-
Mossgolem ( S )
-
Subzeratops ( S )
-
Volcawolf ( S )
-
Angelon ( B )
-
Raioh/Kentucky (?) (in)
-
Don Penguini ( C )
Notes:
I personally have had great experience with lux and arkwing up front, beastbane is crazy good and can knock out all sorts in 1 shot, tackyon can wreck an Early omegawyrm pretty fast, lux as you mention very solid hitter against dark ARKs. And barry… well everyone knows barry, moving on. Gremknight can help ensure the stability of inferno with golden horn as I mention(water elemt would be bad for an opponent to have) and if all else fails HASTE away, and if he dies that’s ok too, one of their ARK’s will be stunned for a good bit. Nilo hould help keep inferno up a bit more, but he does do solid damage, so I’d keep that in mind as risky heal is… well risky. Cold heart with beast bane will be good if you get a shot at charco, or a vegi but I pretty much put him there n case he dies typhonwyrm will benefit from last furry. I’ve got fun tips for Moss golem I’ve mentioned plenty of places, but it was fun trying to figure him out so I’ll leave it out of here and skip straight to the end. Subzero slow is great late game especially since she can take a beating, Vulca with veng of course but the real fun starts when vulca goes down.
Showdown Don - I wont go to much into this but. Haste>ally Stun>Aoe
Below is what I subbed out, hope this helps and of course check out the following post for more detail on armyflame, rook work =D Hope you find it useful.
Reserve:
-
Nilox ( B ) (out)
-
Raptorex ( A ) (out)
-
Pyrowyrm ( C )
-
Hydrowyrm ( E )
-
Ventowyrm ( E )
-
Anubis ( S )
-
Thunderback ( A )
-
Felimancer ( C )
-
Frillzeon ( C )
-
Rooknight ( C )
-
Leviathan ( E )
You my friend are using some very fun things =D I hope you like the recommendations, just keep in mind combo decks rely on key pieces and without them it gets a little hairy, don’t let that stop you though you’re using some of the most (in my opinion) fun stuff out there. My changes are based on you having everything except what you mention and keeping the core of your deck.
- Pegasion (aoe, if you get bonus action with ally stun on aoe again, if not knock this guy back after you aoe)
- Raioh (ally stun)
- Goldenhorn (aoe w/ally stun)
- Frillzeon
- Volcawolf (with pegasion in the lineup Infernowyrm becomes a possibility, you can use devour 1 time to keep peg from messing with don after you knock her back, and give more life into inferno to keep your fire flowing)
- Gremknight (love this guy)
- Mossgolem
- Rooknight
- Vegitiger
- Barricadus (with him here the potential to get more damage in with either vegi or omega gets pretty nice, this is just a great buffer before the end)
- Luxknight (I like lux here as buffer to go after barry if vegi dies, If not kill destructor before omega comes out(doable with vegi to)
- Omegawyrm
- Angelon
- Raijin
- Don Penguini
I pretty much detailed most of my thoughts, moss+3allies+nodefense is pretty wicked, so is vegi, but I let you decide how you handle that little combo.
I hope all the suggestions help out, it nice to offer up different advice today. If ya’ll have any questions just stop in
Tib I miss you!!! LOL I know you’re busy mate.
Destructor
Arkwing
Snowja
Shisaguard
Goldenhorn
Bloodclaw
Infernowyrm
Barricadus
Minespider
Rooknight
Subzeratops
Vegitiger
Angelon
Omegawyrm
Don Penguini
I saw you recommend this team on page 3 to someone. I have been using it except I used volcawolf instead of destructor because I don’t have it but I can’t seem to win one match with this setup. Is there any changes you would make?
