Feedback thread for "Killerdog's guides"

Same, but mine is unevolved

Can you check again, it should be working now. Thanks.

It’s working now.

I took a bit of time today to make a start on KD's How to beat each event (+videos). This thread is far from complete and has not been properly formatted to be easy to read (splitting each event across individual posts with navigation and sections given bigger titles). However, I’ve completed the Island Challenge, Showdown Tower and Whale’s Treasure sections for now.

Just a little reminder for anyone looking for tips on Island Challenge, I’ve put a lot of details here: KD's How to beat each event (+videos)

I just added confirmed buff levels for all stages of Island Challenge. I never knew, but levels 165-300 have no change in buff level (a constant 1.5x). I hope this information helps people succeed in the event.

Just updated the KD's Recommendations for the game to include a small idea and an idea given by Boilertribe in the Line chat:
Little ideas - (4) Gem sale promotions including 6* and 7* tickets
Community ideas - (1) Buying 6* tickets for money (Boilertribe)

Gem sale promotions including 6* and 7* tickets

Simply as the title suggests, promotions offering 6* and 7* tickets as you buy gems would be very appealing to lots of players. At my time writing this, we're only getting promotions including rare ingredients which only appeals to the biggest spenders and the new players.

Buying 6* tickets for money (Boilertribe)

This idea is relatively simple, but can make a huge impact to the game by giving paying players guaranteed results. In the past we had a guaranteed featured legendary every 6th pack. This game is built around the RNG of a gacha, but having some guaranteed value from buying and spending gems is a good way to encourage people to spend their money. The exchange shop opens up lots of new possibilities for the company to make money, reward old timers for their +9 legendaries and to help boost new players by giving them some extra legendaries for their collection.

For this idea to work, the gacha must remain the primary way to release all new monsters and the shop should be mostly used as a place to dump older monsters, with only a few unique (new) or powerful monsters being added. This way, the overall monster release system will not be affected and the ability to buy 6* tickets will simply be an additional source of revenue. Additionally, there must continue to be a decent number of 6* tickets rewarded in the game for playing content so that the balance between P2W and free players doesn’t get hurt.

The target market for this would be medium to big spenders who are looking to expand their collection with things they want by straight-up buying particular monsters from the shop. There are (and will be more) key monsters people will happily spend some money to get rather than the wait for the free 6* tickets to save up for. Also, if old legendaries eventually get retired here so they are no longer in any egg pool then newer players without these monsters will want to buy certain ones for teams they’d like to build. The big spenders will most likely buy a bunch of them when they start playing the game while also pouring money into the gacha to get the stronger monsters available there. This may also encourage low spenders to put in a bit of money to get a few more 6* tickets and grab monsters they really want from the shop.

It’s already been shown by the shop so far that monsters will be entered with different costs. Old (weaker) legendaries have been added for 6 tickets and stronger legendaries are 12 tickets. With this in mind, I don’t think the ticket pricing should undermine the gacha.

Thanks for your hard work @Killerdog . Your guide really helps a new player like me to get very familiar with the game.

I’ve just released a new video for Island Challenge (the one back in July - I’m playing catch-up with some videos). In this video I go through the last few battles I had on the way to lvl 600 with my Brynhildr team. Hope you enjoy it!

Just added these four icons to KD’s Player Icon Previews:
Icon24 Icon140 Icon166 Icon222

Only the Sacrumega icon is not added yet, that will be added as soon as the monster is released. Big thanks to the Devs again for giving me these for the guide.

Hello newbie here i wanna know where to find verabook and where to get it

Unfortunately you just missed it. If you look in the special ingredients section (bottom left of the four boxes on main online screen, then top right box) you’ll see these missions rotate every 4 days and it’s the one in the top right that you want. Here you have a mission for 50 tickets where you can choose the rare ingredients you want, one is a Vorabook. This is probably the main, most reliable place to get them.

Otherwise Vorabooks are gained from some online events.

You can also pick up quite a few from “other stories” which you can find in the online story section.

With the new update (version 2.9) I’ve taken it as a time to review many of my guides:

  • KD’s Mythic Monster Movesets has now been deleted. This guide was created at the start of mythics and before the monsterdex became improved so we could see all the movesets there. I kept updating it but decided now it’s a waste of my time so I simply removed it.

  • KD's New Players Guide has been updated with Twiggy 5* form plus various text changed to include the existence of mythics, the ability to potion 0-3* monsters and I corrected the gem spending advice because it still talked about 6th pack guaranteed legendaries and 1st pack guaranteed in some festivals.

  • KD's Legendaries/Mythics listed + stats has been updated with mythic cost changes as well as reviewing all the recommendations for secret skills.

  • KD's Every Monster Analysed has had a huge overhaul to show what it’s now going to be… analysis of every monster in the game which was also be available in-game! The formatting here may be slightly different to what you see in the game based on what looks best on the forum. Also, the two may be out of sync slightly at any given time. I will try my best to keep the forum version up to date with what is in the game, but the game takes priority. (At my time writing this the thread is still undergoing changes)

All of the analysis for DR monsters are incorrect. Do it over!

Haha I think I remember asking you for input on Nebelronix. I’m open to edits if someone can convince me it should be written differently.

In Ashterios’ analysis it should be worth it to mention that he is a hard counter to sleep strategies with insomnia + purify.

It does mention it??

" Ashterios (#1226)
The monster is all about the link bloodbite, which will become a one-shot after just one kill and heal Ashterios for 25% of the damage dealt.

On a monster with hold ground and a secret skill which deals insane damage, it makes Ash a solid sweeper for any link fire team. Purify + insomnia is an excellent counter to one-on-one or sleep in general, plus helps deal with poison that would get around Ash’s hold ground. Chrono killer can help get the first kill but the majority of the time you’ll want the secret skill for a reliable kill and you’ll have to be playing link fire.

Outside of link fire Ashterios has very little to offer and the other obvious negative is the monster has quite low speed which makes it have far less impact than some other monsters. Ashterios benefits more than other sweepers from being accelerated because it heals from each attack."

I came to check if my Aeraider was S+ in PvP for super epics. I wasn’t disappointed. He has been a staple in my team for many many months and has won me many battles.

How long have you rated him as S+?

I don’t know how I missed that :joy: I’m so sorry, must have mixed it up in my head after reading another one! Anyway I’ve been enjoying reading those, keep up the good work!

I think since it first ever came out. Do a search for the name of the monster in the thread and it’ll find the post where it was added plus and movements.

Are you able to catch the two-star turtle? I’ve tried a hundred times on fendi north and no turtle at all.:scream:
