Does the lvl of arks that I use make a difference in the appearance of rare hatchlings etc…?
No, although if your monsters’ levels are quite high the monsters in those locations won’t jump out and attack you, you’ll have to tap the spot again if you want to battle
Do you get better chances of seeing a hatchling/starter if you kill the opponent rather than escape? somebody was saying something about there is a counter that resets but it was unclear when or what the requirements were for the reset. for ex. is there better chances by staying on the same tile and killing or same tile and escaping? also if i kill does the counter restart or does the counter restart if i escape?
