Hey Guys,
Not too long ago, I awakened Excaliburdragon and have been loving him.
I always notice how reading you guys’ discussions on other monsters usually will teach me a thing or two about the respective monsters that I didnt have in mind before.
So on this thread I would like to get some Tips, Tricks, Opinions and Info on Excaliburdragon.
A quote of some numbers…
An important thing you need to know is crescendo charges based on the number of enemies it “hits”. So crescendo dance will not charge from anything with stealth, but hitting a shield will still charge crescendo.
So the classic way to play Excaliburdragon was with a give turn right after a crescendo dance then you can get sweeping. However, that was never reliable enough in the front line and now it’s got crescendo stun you’re probably better off using it in the mid-game after removing their stun protection. Hopefully it will come in, put two enemies out of play, then become a big threat after another attack or two and all without any support (just the need to clear stun protection beforehand).
For PvE still use the give turn setup, it works very well.
Just put on bench. It’s trash.

How do you feel about Aegis Ritual? I think they run really well together. I just never understood why it’s restricted to SOLO…
I was hoping to hear some pairing suggestions in team setups too

It is D tier. Unless they give him little defence.
If u have wollala. He pair nice with her as the sweeper. Think of him as a control monster
thanks. the only thing i hate is that Excaliburs SS is basically SOLO restricted so i won’t be able to use it while woolala is on the field
I think it’s good restriction to prevent people from using Excalibur with Aegis and then spawn another Aegis next to it.
what you do is play it with aegies and then ones aegies dies spawn another one and laugh it CHAOS

The ss ain’t important on him. It’s a cool ss for sure and can be useful but not needed.

it does compliment him quite well!
It was the reason. Similarly, the original design had SOLO Healing Light because they were concerned it would be too strong with an Aegisdragon. This was many years ago
