stun imune monster have low TU.why we not buff they counter like “fast strike” instead?
Evertale got 250tu stun pulse that stuns for 200tu
Just saying
What if Faststrike (also it’s Double version) was 100sec but had a time restriction from the start of battle? That way, it couldn’t be abused in FL but it would counter more effectively those low seconds sweepers.
Faststrike is a sweeping move with virtually no restriction. 100tu is a tad low!
This has been my favourite thread to read for a while. Some really intelligent and well thought out questions and comments.
I kinda feel that’s what we need though to avoid the need to have 3 other stun immunes. Gotta be careful though because then we might find a meta with just no weakness monsters I guess.
Tbh that’s quite radical but I’m fairly on board with it.
I guess ultimately stun has gone from being an 80 TU inconvenience to being an outright game winner. (Fully aware that the Cyber, nova Cobra combo has contributed to this but there are other iterations too)
@Dev_VKC would love to get your thoughts on the original post and some of the comments in general
I could see it working. To solve the current situation, massive changes would be needed anyway whether one or another solution was implemented.
Yeah you’re right, it’d be too easy to activate. Maybe 100sec from the first turn of the monster?
Normal faststrike 130tu
Double faststrike 160tu?
Without any restriction
Did you just say that…
Then it would be terrible though. I think Faststrike is fine, it’s TUs in general that could use a complete overhaul. But that’s another subject entirely.
I’m going to say one last thing on the matter: for this to work Stunning Entrance (Champion and Tranquilizing too) would need to be something pathetic, like 20tu.
The point of this whole idea is to reduce our dependence from stun protection, and as long as any viable Super Epic and below have a better entrance than Gazer’s, I don’t see myself taking out Stun Absorbers and Stun Counters anytime soon.
That said, I know that 20tu sounds like nothing, but consider it on monsters with good active skills as “just another ability”, and the advantage does start to pile up!
Well, it kinda depends on the monster though. Bloomeluga takes a minimum of 150sec to use Tsunami Mortar, yet she’s very much powerful. It depends from the rest of the moveset
I didn’t quite grasp this?
He means Arborgias with Team Turn Entrance will be good for the meta and I agree with him, based af
absolutely. I think most people can handle stun. It’s just doing it without limiting yourself to the same old monsters
Stunning Entrance, even reduced by half to 40tu, is still better than Gazer’s Fast Forward Entrance if left uncountered. Obviously that’s a big problem.
Sometimes I wonder if making Monsters that give turn to themselves, ie stun converters and stun counters not vulnerable to Chrono killer would be the answer. But then I guess that’s a big Angel buff.
That would be the easy way out and more realistic at this point.
Or devs implement artifacts that can be thrown on monsters. Artifacts that make monsters more individual. Like gaining more hp, or gaining stun immunity. And restrict it to 2 or 3 monsters for one team.
Of cause these artifacts shouldn’t be buyable. Only available via grind. That would solve a lot of problems. But I guess it would lead to new other op stuff
Hmmm, wouldn’t that make Chrono Killer and Time’s Up monsters become much less useful? I mean, Scorpiogeist can get one-shot by Chromera’s Chrono Killer but Toxic Killer fails to one-shot it most of the time.
Maybe what we need is more passives that deal with Stun. We have Stun Immunity, Counter and Converter. There could be:
• Stun Resistance (mitigates the effects of Stun)
• Stun Barrier (gains a shield whenever stunned)
• Stun Reflect (stuns the enemy by a corresponding amount, but doesn’t count as a Stun skill, else it would be very easily exploited by enemies with Stun Counter)
• Stun Deflect (divides the amount of Stun received among teammates)
• Stun E-Converter (increases the amount of Energy Charge by one instead of getting stunned)
• Stun Capacitor (increases the power of the next attack instead of being stunned)
Likewise, there could be some burden passives that instead make a monster weaker to Stun to counterbalance his theoretically OP moveset, like Broken Heart.
