It’s clear that they are not (cannot?) get a buff. So I suggest to shut people up who are constantly asking to buff them (like me) just delete them and give people who have them a compensation legend of the same element. Or 5 rare gems plus another 5 rare gems for each bonus they had.
Nebel users can get Azuriados.
Cosmo users can get Albakhan
Sanct users can get Aegisdragon.
Cryo users can get Polareon.
Or just give them option to trade in their trash mons for any legendary of their choice but it has to have the same elemnt as the trash monster. Cause as far as I can tell, if they do get a buff they are gonna become broken

Whales is the only event where they are really all useful due to assisted attacks.
Try to think of them that way. The use is badly limited but there is still a use for them.
If they’re too weak but can’t become stronger, then maybe the only course of action is to rework them from the ground up. Maybe keep one assisted move, but replace the entire rest of the moveset with something different. It doesn’t have to be as strong and unique as event exclusives, it just has to be passable enough for a normal legend. Might be their only chance.
