I don’t condemn the auto protect spam, nor do I hate it,
What I really don’t like is we have to wish that the one auto protect we choose will be targetted but other auto protect at field blocks the attack,
Releasing so many auto protects have made it so chaotic,
If we have 3 auto protects on field , we should have the ultimate decision of targetting any of those, not hoping or be on the mercy of RNG,
In the case of having auto protect plus & protect teamates,. If we have done protect teammates, then it should be targetted.,
But it’s also under rng, as auto protect plus takes the damage,
Also protect teamates should be 2 or 3 times use, once repulsed or knocked back, they are practically useless,
Last point would make protectors very strong. As they re pretty useless after knockback or repulse (especially with Motor everywhere )… Make it 3x use and protectors will be fine. Plus the rng factor should be canceled
I like the idea of protectors not protecting each other.
I would suggest a flat rate so it’s always 80% chance of hitting the one you target and 20% of being drawn in by an another auto-protect/protect teammates. If there are 3-4 protectors then this 80% does not drop. Only exception would be auto-protect plus that is guaranteed to draw all attacks and 80% if there are multiple auto-protect plus monsters.
This would let us be at the mercy of RNG much less but without handing all the power over to the attacker.
As for monsters getting to use protect teammates multiple times, I don’t like that idea. It’s always been a good counter to protectors… something that we need in the game. Repulse is one-time use and knockback has high TU. The rise in use of Motor right now seems to be to counter the protect meta so I’m surprised people want to nerf one of the best counters that people aren’t even finding strong enough right now.
I actaully agree this time around, in the past i preferred rng but things have been getting a bit chaotic with the sheer amount of protecters being used. I disagree with the 2-3 time protecter use though, its one of the reasons knockback is so usefull changing that would devalue the move to much
I just really hope devs make some positive changes this pvp am getting kind of bored and power creep is getting out of hand.
This is the last month i wait for the devs to fix there game.
1-Myhic tickets become available.
2-legendary shop includes the featured legendary.
3-no bs moves like daunt that should get rework asp.
4-compensation for reworks and nerfs.
If nothing is done i think its time to call a quit.
I don’t see why protectors should get a buff like this. The issue brought up in this thread is about people having multiple protectors, that’s where things get a bit wacky and too RNG when you can’t even hit the protector you want to hit. Protectors are powerful and have their use with the 60% by themselves, but I don’t think it was quite the Devs intention to make it total RNG about which protector gets hit.
Daunt being impossible to counter except with stealth is very unusual for the game. However, it’s one-time use, 200TU and only 80s so definitely nothing game-breaking. Sakuralisk’s dream world is stretching the limits of what you can have in the game far more.
I think you are misusing the monster, you use daunt in order to setup up slower monsters like maggot or terror and then you cannibalize it when you have the tempo its like zib/gazer back in the day except this time instead of forwarding you monsters to the front you send back your opponent monsters.
And combined with maggot it makes unstoppable combo where the only monsters to survive is the camouflage.
You need to understand that this RNG Nerf will weaken protectors in general. Often multiple protectors are needed to get protection from double kill moves and to compensate for the bad 60% protect rate.
Its literally like zib/gazer and the strategy works exactly the same way.
Daunt grants you small tu advantage where the maggot/terror would go ahead of the other monsters and you cannibalism the posion revenge.
As long as daunt has no counter this combo will be abused you can play king and see for yourself there is no actual way to counter it other then rng sleep.
