We have the shield to generally indicate a mortar is loaded the first time, but nothing for charge. It would be good for the symbol to count the number of charges too! When you’re running a fleet of Naughty Pods it’s hard to keep track
Mortar could probably do with one too.
Whether they’d need to be shown to the opponent is another thing. I’d probably say yes for consistency.
Edit: @Chrono suggested stun absorber too which I think would be great.
Now that I think about it, maybe a generic icon for revenge passives too.
Ps. I still think stealth (not Camo) should be hidden from the opponent so they have to keep track like the good old days! Stealth was actually stealthy then
We’ve already discussed this, but I’ll go over it again. Making stealth invisible is an unfun change. On one hand, if the opponent could still see when a monster uses a stealth move, then it would only make battles more time consuming as people use notebooks or memory to keep track anyway. On the other hand, if you didn’t get any indication that the opponent had used stealth, it would just be a nasty surprise whenever you used aoe.
Imagine if overwatch was hidden, and an enemy occasionally just gained a turn when you attacked. Or if barriers were invisible and your fully charged bloodmove sometimes just wasted a turn.
I understand that a pro like you might be fine with this, having probably memorized the moveset of most PvP viable monsters, but for most players, who have no idea what mons have stealth, and what the TUs are, it would be unbelievably frustrating
That’s how it was back in the day! It was fun. Sorted the men from the boys
I think we both agree that would be a bad idea
You’d be amazed at how bad I am with that. KD can vouch. Also I don’t think that’s relevant, because players would see the stealth move being used right?
Lol the stealth comment is just my personal preference. But I don’t feel strongly about it. I just like the idea of stealth being stealthy. Charge and mortar icons for sure
If I was designing a new game, I would make the monster disappear from sight entirely, so a stealthed monster could not be targeted by single attacks. Only AoE and non-targeted attacks could hit and expose the stealthed monster. Obviously for this game it would be too complex and overpowered.
I agree with this, it is difficult to know if your monsters are charged or not although I am not sure if it is good or not that the opponent can know how many charges a given monster has,not sure that’s good for cargo monsters, but an icon would definitely be nice
We definitely need an icon for the number of energy charged and another for mortar loaded.
We’ve got a bunch of icons for random passives that already get shown as text popping up, I’m sure they can find space for stuff currently not shown at all!
