Can we buff throw damage?

Keep this as a throw thread. I can’t see a 10% damage increase making significant changes to Tri, just because something that summons can do a little more damage now. There are plenty of ways to bring food for Tri. Seaworld for instance. I just want throw to be reliable

Tricranium could easily have a small decrease to its damage so it can only one-shot squishy things… problem solved.

I definitely agree that the likes of Emeraldont, Bahamuzar and Terragar have lacklustre damage with their throw moves. Tezcacoatl’s damage is what holds it back too. Other throw monsters seem to either have catapult or high attack by the looks of it… but maybe I’m missing some.

You’re missing persephia, the mythics that likes to pump deadweight into your team whenever your allies die.

Im ok with a throw damage buff but other then that its questionable
Focus would become broken just look at the damage auhizard can do with a single raw throw
Pircing would become broken too
So the best way to buff throw is a damage buff overhall or rework tho thesee legends stats + atack - defense or HP

Timberlord says hi

I do not want to see this buff at all

It’s true that rear load counts as a throw move but keep in mind that he doesn’t deal throw dmg
It’s hellfire double dmg which is insane
A STD def throw monster won’t deal as much dmg as Tricranium bcz he is using throw skill to attack but Tricranium using Mortar

This is a great and logical suggestion @NMEduck

That’s because Ahuizard is full attack, not because it has RAW. If Ahuizard was rounded then it’d be way less scary (or should I say “would’ve been”, now that it’s seconds reduction is gone)

Rexkong (monke) wishes for this buff to happen
Emeraldues (My lovely bird) will be pleased if u did it
Thunder (KD Basically) hates this buff.
Follow ur heart guys and buff throw for poor ahuizard

Yeah. This is throw specifically. Maybe dual throw too. I wouldn’t buff Catapult or the other sacrificial moves

Depends on how powerful some throw monsters would become with a damage buff.

Personally I’ve been playing with a tad bit of throw for this rule and even on SEs it seems to do more than enough damage. Tezlacoatl on the other hand could use a little help.

Out of curiosity what monsters are you using ?

He has throw all. Not throw :slightly_smiling_face:

Yeah the ones with high attack are totally fine. It’s basically just Emeraldont (standard defence), Terragar and Bahamuzar (both rounded) who don’t do high damage.

Emeraldont is built to be a tanky stun absorber that supports a throw team, with damage coming as a secondary thing.

Bahamuzar got two buffs making it tanky (the two passives) as well as a very powerful SS piercing killing two enemies on its first turn at only 80TU. The throw damage after that is a bit weak.

Terragar has got buffs to make it anti-sleep but both throw and double survivor would benefit from a little bit more damage here… the monster being standard attack would easily do that.

I own all these and have used them at various points. Bahamuzar feels like a perfectly fine, average monster. Emeraldont needs some kind of rework to be modernised. Terragar needs a shift to standard attack. I don’t think there would be any problems with throw if these things happened.

@LemonSqueezy I can’t remember if you said… which throw monsters are you using that you’re finding don’t do as much damage as you’d like?

Tbf, it is the monsters you mentioned. Perhaps individual mons having an increased attack is a better way to go.

In this match Cynthia tanked a Swift dual throw by a long way. Should never happen with Elemental advantage

Hiding an awakened Cynthia behind aegis, what a coward

To be fair, you’re talking about the weakest throw monster in the game (weaker even than SEs) against a fully awakened, tanky mythic. If anything wasn’t going to one-shot it would be this attack!
