I feel that The Ultimate Challenge is one of the most lackluster events thusfar, allowing most players to play only four or five games before they hit a wall, after which they can’t continue.
This mode shows much potential, and it feels like a wasted opportunity leaving it as it is right now, so therefore I’ll post my suggestions here:
• The idea of going through 999 levels is fun, something that all players (excluding those that just started the game) should be able to do and therefore I would suggest to have no buffing at all after level 50. The teams should remain at the same difficulty as the teams on lvl 50.
• In return the ranking rewards should be removed, they serve no purpose as everybody can technically get to 999.
• But, the fun thing would be, to spread those ranking rewards randomly over the 999 levels, together with some extra stuff (silver, fruits, pixies, …), hidden just like the gatekeepers, and you will receive them if you either played the level that they are on, or skipped over them, just like in the first 50 levels
• The Gatekeepers however shouldn’t be placed on levels 200, 300, …, but also randomly over the 999 levels, and you will only get their rewards if you actually fight them. This would mean that you will have to search for the gatekeepers, maybe going to the forums to help others, which would lead to more people going here and getting this place more active. Maybe they are at lvl 51 and you just skipped to 70, tough luck for you. Or they could be at lvl 782 and almost nobody will get them except for a lucky few. If you decide to search for one or two gatekeepers, you will probably have to give up on the idea of getting to 999. You will have to grind a lot of fights, but in turn you might score a couple of gems.
• And in order to allow people to actually search for the gatekeepers and to go all the way to 999, the ticket cost should be halved.
To me this would seem more fun, the community would be more active, and most players wouldn’t have to give up immediatly after lvl 70 or 80.
Let me know what you think!
