You can all stop jumping on me about this since whatever changes come will not really affect me. All I was pointing out is that people are only now starting to experience what the biggest whales have already had to deal with for months. And yes, I agree that the devs are not doing a good job of giving us enough ways to use tickets, and legend pots are practically impossible to find.
It would be nice if the Super Power up event for super fruits and the silver mines can be reset each day at the start of the day instead of having to wait 24 hours since last entering.
It’s not something massive but a small QoL which would be nice and doesnt make sense that it doesnt reset on the daily reset of the game and instead forces you to watch what time you enter the event so that you can enter again the following day at the same time.
Don’t know where to post it but is the icon of 999 gem still available in any way?
It was a April’s fools icon, if it ever returns it will be then, for now it’s unaccessible
Thanks a lot! I thought it was given for 999 gems on the account
That would be a good way to unlock it now, if devs want to make it possible!
Most importantly there should be two, one for 999 free gems and the other one for 999 paid gems LOL
My small sons best friend stopped playing Neo, because of this april’s fool icon.
He played hard to get the 500 shrine and was very proud he obtained Moku and other great monsters that time.
He spent all his hard saved gems, because he thought he’ll get it back after the banner reached it’s endpoint. But it was just the fools icon.
Not a nice move fooling a kid.
Luckily my kids listen to me and waited it out before spending.
I’m not sure how to reply to this ![]()
I feel sorry for the kid, but it was right around April’s fools so like um I can’t really blame devs for trolling a bit, you know? Especily since at that point we had never seen such a large amount of gems come from anywhere not even purchasable in the shop.
Still feel sorry for em tho
He just went to play other games, kids adjust very fast ![]()
That’s true! My kids has about 300 fascinations daily at this point, can’t really get em to settle on anything, but I like that about them. This is how they’ll find their passion in the end
Time to ask him to come back.
Tell him there are many cute sisters fighting with him.
Why does the rule last so long? I’m not against its existence, but why do they extend it so much if nobody likes it? At least the PVP should last twice as long so we can test our teams for rank.
Can we get the option of building 2 diffrent teams for UC sometimes we need to rebuild for GC and it gets tedious having to build the 1 team slot back and forth
@Dev_VKC Can you explain to me why RNG is involved in monster positioning at the start of a battle? When two monsters have the same speed, I understand, but it’s too stupid for an 88 speed monster to play ahead of a 90 speed monster. If this happens, what’s the point of speed? Isn’t 88 supposed to be less than 90? Or are they just looking to help the player after losing several times? This is supposed to be a strategy game and the point of using fast monsters is to have them play ahead of slower ones. They should fix that because it doesn’t make any sense and only destroys the game.
Variance like this improves replay ability. The rationale you (and many others) use is that strategy games should be deterministic but actually that makes things less enjoyable if X always beats Y.
Imagine damage, sleep, etc. had no variance. When two people battle, one person will win. When they rematch, all the loser can do is try to make different decisions. They may feel like there wasn’t a better way to play it so they stand no chance to win. However, if the opponent’s win was dependent on a bunch of RNG things happening then the loser will feel like they have a genuine chance to win the rematch.
Go research it online, it’s commonly accepted in game design to be an important component for making strategy games fun.
Another angle to look at this is game complexity. You’d think strategy games want to be super complex so the people with the bigger brain can win. However, doing that alienates less bright people and if those are your spenders then that’s a very bad thing. So what you want is enough complexity that people engage with it but there’s enough RNG and P2W advantage that the smarter players can’t always win. Ideally you want it deceptively complex so smart people feel like they have a bigger advantage than they actually do. Basically, everyone needs to feel like they have a chance and RNG plays a big role in that.
Neo Monsters is actually too strategic and deterministic than it should be. You see this from players having super high win rates. The main reason for this is we are able to create our teams with a preset order. Card-style games typically have you create a deck then it’s shuffled, which does a lot of the work for the RNG in the game design and the rest of it can be very deterministic.
less fun? I don’t find it fun to lose a game against a strong opponent because the game wanted to help him by making his slow monster play ahead of my fast monster. If x always beats y it’s because that’s how it was established and if the others don’t like it when they use x, at no time did I mention another variant where the rng intervenes such as damage sleep etc. that’s fine, when two people face each other the loser should try to improve and learn from their mistakes to try to win the next time and if they can’t it’s simply because the other player is better ,
The other thing is that you only talk about those who are not intelligent when this happens to everyone whether you are intelligent or not whether you are a strong opponent or not and it is stupid to lose an important game because even though you should beat the other person because you made a better team or you were better but the game decided to help the other person where is your strategy in all this
For speed, it’s literally been established that there is RNG so 90% speed usually goes ahead of 88% speed but not always.
So you arbitrarily accept one form of RNG but not another?
RNG will often grant favour to one person more than another. The unlucky player needs to be able to adapt and overcome the extra hurdle. It’s basically saying “You will get to play fairly and win most of the time, but to get a super high win rate you will sometimes have to do even better than normally required”.
Entrance speed at the start of a battle is literally the first point of RNG in a match. There are still loads of decisions to be made and plenty of opportunity to overcome getting bad luck with it. If your FL protector failed to block the first attack would you still view it the same way, or would you happily accept 1/3 of the time it will be bypassed?
So there’s no point in creating a strategy because the game will sometimes help the other opponent since you made a better formation, is that what you’re telling me? I accept the other forms of rng because they don’t specify or they simply say that it is something random, on the other hand, speed is supposed to be that if a monster is faster it will play first, that’s why the speed statistic exists and it is essential to create forward formations, but the whole strategy goes down the drain when the game only decides to help the other player, a situation that shouldn’t happen because this is a strategy game. If I were to use a protector I would accept that it is often outsmarted because the ability specifies and warns that it only protects 66 percent or 50 percent, so you already know what can happen, but when it comes to speed, you as a competitive player take into account the speed of the opposing monsters that may appear in order to create a strong forward formation, but the game kills the strategy and the fun when it ignores all of this and only helps the other person.
