need help with making a good team          I’m f2p so I’m wondering most efficient way to get gems

Catch the free legendary monster available in the island and also try to get hold of a chronox.

Here some advice. There 3 SE monster and a leg monster you can catch in the islands. Search the forum page to find out where they located. Also save gem cuz anniversary coming soon so you can roll for leg.
