Was doing a hell mode online mission, and grabbed Tortogeist for my friend monster. As soon as he entered the field, the enemy bunkerbeast used hellfire mortar all, killing him among several other monsters. I got my own bunker, but the enemy one didn’t die like he was supposed to. Gotta love how this thing stops working the instant it’s in MY hands for once lmao. One of the other monsters he killed was deathwarg, and his DR removed bunker’s shield at that same moment… could that have had something to do with it?
I mentioned the same bug just after update in the poison tick bug thread but no one noticed.
This happened in PvP too.

I’m confused, tortogeist looks more like a turtle than a bug to me

I recently got Tortogeist so I’ve finally been able to see the bug myself. It seems that if a monster kills another payback revenge monster at the same time as Tortogeist then there’s a chance only the payback revenge damage will happen to it, not Tortogeist’s instant kill revenge. The mirror revenge part still happens though.
It may happen if they kill DR + Tortogeist at the same time, but that’s less likely to come up. Also, it’s only noticeable if the enemy is shielded/HG.
The game is terribly inconsistent with the order of passives triggering / monsters dying / monsters entering. I see it a lot with my UC team when an enemy kills a mirror revenge and DR/payback at the same time then I get it with 1HP sometimes and full HP other times. This Tortogeist case seems to be one where it actually causes the game to bug.
