Was there really a stun meta though? I saw a very normal amount of stun. There was also a lot of shiny spectrefox around, not exactly encouraging people to play stun teams
My general point about Sui was that Sui itself is a necessary counter to AP spam (also, so is Orca to an extent). You can only use one now… so there’s inherently less deterrent to running AP’s.
That’s just a common-sense take, not an overreaction in the slightest lol
My point was to Broly there. I just brought up your comment as a contradiction to his (because I thought his was wrong and you were saying likewise). The response I’d give your post wouldn’t be about any overreacting.
You asked about the mythics being restricted… that’s definitely because the feedback last time was very strongly how it was unfair mythics weren’t restricted.
I just wanna say that not every player wants to copy the meta even if they use most used meta mons.
Most people running orca/nova/angelion has almost same teams. But players with relatively smaller collections have different roles for those monsters. So when they restrict those it doesn’t affect the ones who actually copy teams but it greatly limits teambuilding for those who wants to use the same monster in a different and creative way.
Honestly the restrictions are promoting the very thing that It’s supposed to stop.
I love the idea of restrictions. And also I don’t understand why most of the top players are complaining about this. Your gonna finish at the top anyway like y’all normally do, so why does it matters. Just curious
Because some of us act outside of our own interest. #StandUpForLittleGuy
I guess, buy hey at the end of the day you still gon be on top the leaderboards
You can still use those monsters in your creative way. They’re restricted, not banned. If someone is using lots of them because they’re copying the meta they are affected way more because they have to change their whole team
Yes because the little guy has 6 monsters from the limited list and 6 from the semi limited.
My thought exactly… I’m still waiting to see these little guys people are referring to who somehow have many of the restricted monsters and can’t do well in PvP because they have nothing else that’s good. Do they exist? Probably not.
I see no problem there. You have three of the (1) monsters and two of the (2) monsters. So basically you just have to pick a monster from Padrinorca, Novadrake and Valzareign. Doesn’t seem like a big difficulty.
Having both Novadrake and Padrinorca in a team would surely make it stronger but they’re literally two of the most powerful and heavily used legendaries in PvP so they’d be in so many teams if they weren’t restricted heavily.
I’m not saying that but they might have a few! Especially if they’re selective with choosing strong monsters when they start.
TBH I think the dumbest part of the limited list is how valzareign is restricted. It’s tied with tygoron for being the worst stun converter and somehow it’s put on the same list as sh*t like padrinorca, novadrake, cynthia, etc.
In the previous season it was a pure pain especially since I don’t like running nova and I have no team synergy other than throw combination
Yeah lol Valzareign was totally overplayed the last two seasons. I think everyone got off lightly that being added to the (1) restriction… easy thing to not bother playing.
@Unholy_Prem If you don’t like running Nova then the decision is even easier. Padrinorca it is!
It’s meatoid, the meta changer that makes me laugh.
The more limitations, the more obsolete the meta will become, people will always choose the best option
That’s one of my biggest gripes with the list. Meatoid may be overused, but it’s in no way problematic or a pivotal monster in any strategy, really. Valzareign isn’t a game changer either… Moku and Deathgazer are objectively bigger problems. Those are the changes I find irrational.
Btw, regarding the main topic, it’d be great if the Devs decide to buff some older monsters, like Dragaia and The Godfeather, into being PvP competitive.
That would really go hand in hand with their policy of freshening the PvP experience.
Seeing the direction they chose to take, I’m willing to believe it could happen soon!
