So after some recent discussion I started thinking about pvp and how it could be improved. The two biggest points in pvp lately have been to either stun lock (either by adding a bunch of bronzeshells or removing anti stun measures) or sleep lock the opponent. Both are incredibly annoying if you allow them to happen to your team and leads to the same basic teams appearing at the top levels.
These would be rules for just pvp ideally so that pve would not be afffected.
Stun lock prevention- monsters can not be stunned past 200 seconds in pvp. Additional, 200 seconds added to whatever their tu was at before being stunned.
Sleep lock prevention- after a monster wakes from sleep it can not be slept again for 100 seconds in pvp.
More than 4 bronzeshells can not be added to enemies team consecutively. If two bronzeshells are on the field then a max of 2 would be added behind them. 4 on the field no more can be added until they are removed.
I may be overlooking some things, but think it would help shake the meta up without nerfing a bunch of monsters. Also nobody wants to be stunned to 800 seconds or slept locked, it drags the battle out and is not fun.
The guy’s tired of being stun/sleeplocked in pvp, lol, I’m ok with being stun locked coz I know that its my weakness as I have lil counters to stun, makes me think what I need to counter it so yeah, those special rules are not good, limits the strategies to use.
Each strategy has its own counters, if you want more competition then rather than limit the strategies to be used why not limit the monsters to be used (all epics pvp, all se’s pvp, one element team pvp).
Bruh no just no. Do you know how terrible pvp would be without stun and sleep? I’ve personally made comebacks due to stun locks which imo doesn’t make it less satisfying it makes it that much sweeter.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but I personally would not be happy if these changes were made and would avoid PVP altogether.
I would not mind an epic/ super epic pvp, though would get bored pretty quick I think.
Also it would not be a pvp without sleep or stun. Do not see how not being able to stun someone to 800 plus seconds or just repeatedly sleep the same monster over and over would suddenly make pvp terrible.
Though a less complicated and better option to shake pvp up would probably just be the ability to choose your team after seeing who your opponent is.
No, never faced your team last pvp Lochi, though I do know the one you are talking about haha. I am not mad about stun or sleep locking, just think it would make games more fun without.
I run a stun team myself because it is really effective, I am just bored of seeing the same strategies over and over. PVP revolves around stun or sleep and I would like to see something in the top levels.
At the moment there is stun, sleep, poison and throw. Like you have said Scotty would be good if there was another technique to shuffle it up a bit like confusion or paralysis (sorry poor examples)
i managed to make a totally unique team with one of the worse monsters in the game, and he should now be considered underrated because of the awesome, original team i made with him, i managed to get rank 2 in pvp with that unique team that no one has ever come even close to achieving, besides all of this im the guy with less legends in top 10, and i also dont have the currently most op/meta dominating monsters there are right now (stag, geo, raizen, chrome).
Needless to say i beat lots of awesome players with it and they are probably really mad and thats why scotty made the thread of course
