Some newb questions

Should i save my rare gold eggs for a special event if there are any?
And what’s the best method for me to farm gems at my level. Been playing for less than a week and 3 days left on the newcomer timer

Just use the rare gems.

Do all events you can, play story mode.

First welcome to the game and our community
Every beginning is hard but don’t give up. It’s normal that you cant beat literally any events except the ingredient mission ones. Try to come as far as possible in events to earn gems and wait for festivals with better chances to get legendaries
Unfortunately you have no guaranteed legendaries anymore. There is a tier list in forum with monsters you can catch on islands. Some of them are pretty decent in PvE. Try to complete story modus and play side quests. Those will give you enough gems to at least get 2-3 packs. Happy grinding

Sorry I’m new as well so jumping on your post instead of making my own. if anyone could answer these…why can’t I see my opponent’s monster skills, do I really have to sit and memories every monster at every evolution? And why are there a lot of people with fully evolved legendary teams sitting around the 4000 RP range? It’s making this game feel unplayable.

Unfortunately i think we gotta memorize all the attacks. The game has been out for 3+ years at this point so there is people with stacked teams

Some people started playing pvp when ranking mode started. This was 2 days ago. Basically I would always expect more players online around this time because many try to get into rankings where you get prizes.I would recommend you to play before ranking starts.
Considering matching with stronger opponents. This can always happen if people play more pve events and just barely play pvp matches. This can be very frustrating but don’t value the matches and have a pvp anxiety. Keep it up

I lost my first match in the champion league what happens if i lose all the matches or does it affect anything

You get Reward points and ranking points.
Ranking points is around 1k for each win (plus) or loss (minus). This depends on who is favoured in the match. This can go down to 900 and up to 1100
If you have already 0 ranking points it will remain on 0 - so a loss doesn’t change anything for your ranking

Rp is easier to earn. There are usually a lot caps. Once you reached that you cant go lower even if lose. Between the caps you earn around 1k rp for each win and lose around 500 for a loss. That’s basically it.

This is for the main story

You’ll need to do it again if you’re not first

Welcome dude!! Good luck with it. Play the events and try to get exp to increase your max tickets!

Yeah we have to memorise them all, this game has a big learning curve! For months after my brother started he kept asking me “does X monster have hold ground?” lol, luckily we can see HG now because there’s an icon. We can now finally see monsters in the monsterdex that we haven’t obtained, so that’s a great place to go learn some of the monsters you might be unsure about each time you see it. Focus on legendaries and mythics… the super epics come up much less.

As for the people being 4000RP, that’s because we all start at 0 at the start of ranked PvP. Also, matching with people is not at all based on current RP. It’s based on the invisible “league” which we’re placed into, based on a few things including hero rank and our rank in the previous PvP. The game will try to match you with people in your league as best as possible. If your win rate is super high in your current league you’ll move up into the one above. So with regards to who you’re meeting, it should be about right I hope. Just as a side point… lots of strong players will be 0-5000RP because they will win some and lose some, it takes grinding to get your RP up and a win rate of above 50% in your bracket (league).
