Can someone explain to me how the matchmaking works? I have not played much i got around 2000 points and i play every second game against someone with 10.000 points and above and i have never won. Why should the game keep giving me those opponents? Its called ranked for a reason… so u should in theory play at least most of the times against people on your level and not all the time above
Based on you’re win rate, hero rank but sometimes that’s how pvp works…
I lost many games on purpose jut bc i wanted the daily gem. My winrate is at 35%
Bruh… that’s what i do sometimes HAHA but eyy if you didn’t get the reward monsters don’t worry you can get them in later months in different events.
If you are hero rank 100 or more you get matched against any and everyone that rank or higher i believe.
How is that fair tho?
Nope they changed it.
So if you are low on hr you will get less rp and rank points from matches. There are some tiers of players.
Suppose the tier order is A>B>C
So Player “X” is on C tier and below 100.
So when “X” wins against other C tier players he gets an average amount of points. May differ based on wr/hr etc.
When “X” won enough matches against other C tier then he is matched up with lower “B” tier players and if he wins he gets massive amount of points. Differs based on wr/hr.
Win enough from B. Get matched with whales/ogs from A and then either settle for B or advance to A.
That’s why above average progressive players face a lot of whales/ogs. It’s simply cuz they don’t fit either on the 2nd tier or the 1st tier. Too good for 2nd lil short of 1st.
That should explain your issue @SyCon
I literally started playing ranked today and i had 2000 and i played against tge third best player in the world and i played 7 games against people in the top 100. Some had 60.000 points bro they had literally 30 times more points and i even lost 500 points after those matches
when i was a new player and i faced daniel , i was like wtf this guy runs man even i came to the forum and reported about the matchmaking ,
But yeah after some time and some details from @S-lovers I took those as an indication that I am doing good in what tier i am .
The current PvP ranked points (rating) you have does not factor in to who you get matched with. I didn’t play on day 1 but it started me against top players because that’s the level I normally play at. You get better and fairer competition that way, rather than having strong players facing new players simply because the strong player hasn’t done much PvP yet
there needs to be a hero rank system for PvP separate from PvE.
by the way how is island challenge matchmaking decided? or better question “why do you end up facing the same teams 3 or 4 times in a tournament with thousands of teams?”
it seems like in the 70 - 80 matches I’ve played in Island challenge ive faced a pool of about 40 - 50 people?
I swear MFs on this forum love snitching on themselves
What u mean?
I know that the island challenge teams you are facing are not necessarily from the same level. My friend played against my team at level 185 where I was only at level 147. The AI is very weak, but very buffed, so I feel its very unfair lots of times. So it seems that the others have much better teams than you, but it’s the AI buff that makes them so strong, the real players guessable struggle same like me or you. I guess it’s also luck which monsters you choose on how far you can go. Maybe just choose the cheap clone+stun monster and rebirth/revive monster, then you’ll have a more easy event. I play till 180 this time, last time I played very frustrated till the featured monster only. I was a bit more clever in choosing the right monsters this time. After all, I like this event less than others because some matches just feel so unfair due to the buff.
