Yep, you get the same effect. But, like you said it’s random so it can’t be classified as a strategy unless randomness is your strategy.
When I tested a Kamikaze build Rexo, Puff, & Rhyno I noticed that if you put in a team Protector as the fourth monster and opponent has none your monster gets immediately targeted (75% of the time) with Death Roulette/Sudden Death. Also, I’ve noticed Puff & Rhyno will target newly summoned monsters a lot. Plus, if both are killed at the same time they have a chance of targeting only one monster. I tried to find the answer in another thread but received none. But, to me it seems that Death Revenge takes priority on certain targets.
Iam not so sure about that. Ur basing ur speculation on a few examples but the samplesize is not big enough to make those statements. Could have been bad luck that ur protector got hit more often.
puffoxin and rhynobrawl are broken, just battled a guy and I’ve been testing out a team of death roulette/death revenge. I managed to kill off 9 of his monsters with death roulette. Also, I noticed the water one has more success than rhynobrawl. In every battle it would take out a few monsters than it would take it self out. Rhynobrawl, mostly takes out my mons
Sudden death only ignores hold ground. Death roulette ignores everything but hold ground.
I don’t know if it was a glitch but during the first astrasis event on the last boss part you would face a rexo and a freezenix on the same team.
My experience was that rexo used sudden death on the freezenix which activated the death revenge on another one of their monsters. When sudden death hitted my ninjastorm stun revenge still activated which allowed me to come to the conclusion above.
Cannabalize does ignore hold ground i think. Would be slightly OP if it didn’t.
Hello everyone, there are some solid points raised in this thread. I will suggest to the team that we look over these two monsters for the coming update. Thank you all for your input!
I think cost increase is best - 8/6 for ryno & puff. Honestly they’re one hit kills and a team death rouletting to try to win - even if they get a couple shots off shouldn’t be too tough. I’ve noticed most who try that strategy will quit once they hit themselves 2-3 times lol now they are great for their other skills like poison and death revenge - so cost increase is good, but let’s not get too worked up over death roulette. It’s a terrible strategy for short term players. When points are more important than just wins in pvp - their frequency on teams will decrease, I believe. At least the use of death roulette will.
