Interesting insight KD. So you advocate waiting for special odds on the 6th pack rather than rolling 1,3,6 guaranteed? Or is that just for veteran players?
I have 27 hatched legends which I guess is a pretty good amount. But I am slight P2W as well. I’ve just tried to keep spending to the 1,3,6 guarantee festivals.
1 3 6 festivals lose their values when vets got most of the regular legend pools. Personally im as well always saves for 300 and hatch ONLY six packs for the guaranteeds that worth it. The 1 3 6 festivals give mainly dupes

I’ve done a large amount of analysis for you, which I’ll release soon. Turns out I actually made countless errors in how I originally worked out the chances of stuff (not properly accounting for dupes, all the possible combinations and all that). Statistics really isn’t my strong point but I’m confident what I’ve done now is correct… mainly because I had to go over it all about 3 or 4 times, completely recalculating it!
The short version is that the 1,3,6 guarantee festivals are actually great for giving featured monsters but not specific ones. Legendary festivals offer fewer legendaries overall but a similar number of featured ones for the gems spent and they’re more focused on a select group of legendaries (the fewer featured).
Got the 10th bane today in a single f2p account.

Second legend i hatched after Hatewyrm, rest 6-7 eggs were non-dupe SE except the very first one which was a cherub dupe
Dupes shouldn’t be a thin, the devs should take care of this.

As far as I can tell, Ultima used to be one of the best monsters in the game, until powercreep surpassed it. It’s still a solid option though, so if it fits in with your team, then go for it I say.
I’ve used him quite a bit but not in PvP. Before his double survivor is charged he hasn’t got much to offer. A slow speed stun flash is all he can reliably do. However, once he’s got survivor he’s a stun immune double sweeper which can also take down individual targets if necessary (camouflage, etc.). His attack stat is a bit weaker than most legendaries so double survivor isn’t quite so strong in PvE but it’s usually good enough. The secret skill is there to help you charge bloodthirst a bit in that time before double survivor or heal him up when his health is getting low but personally I wouldn’t recommend it.
So to get true value from him you’ve got to charge him, which isn’t easy to do in PvP. That’s why I don’t use him there… people just leave him alone for 200-300s then kill him and take the death revenge. In PvE he works as a good sweeper if you are willing to do some setup for him.
Overall he’s above average because of the death revenge but he’s not very impactful unless you can get double survivor charged.

You could do something similar to my PvE team which I find fun to use…
There I have him next to Stratustrike for the OoO to charge double survivor and generally 3/4 stun immune monsters meaning I can sweep through whatever stun might be thrown at me without needing a stun absorber (allows for huge offence). Oakthulu used to be Galliodragon but I love the auto-poison for sweeping through teams much faster.
So tips for using as a sweeper (in the front line):
- OoO for setup
- With other stun immune monsters to make the most of not needing an absorber (optional)
- With a stun immune give turn (preferably TT) to get lots of sweeping done once charged
I prefer Galliodragon for most cases because Gallio has the faster stun flash and hold ground with lifeflip unlimited making him survive super well. However, what Ultimadragon has to offer is stun immunity which means you can create more full-offence line-ups like this. When you do heavy sweeping with something like a couple of double survivor monsters you almost always start hitting a load of stun revenge/entrance, so this stun immunity is key.
Btw, this FL obliterates everything except for the 24-monster extreme SCBs and other challenges with buffed monsters and 20+ in their team. Before I had Ultimadragon I used Bazilogon who was great but having both Bazil and Gallio weak to stun sometimes meant things broke down early.
