okay probably should stop myself here, but i really think that everyone can play(at least a few tickets) if they want, as I said nothing is impossible and we do have a little time free even working and attending family, i do not have a family to attend, viceversa they attend me lmfao and at least my mom understand perfectly when it’s ranking weekend bruh she even know when finish and ask me what place I got lmfao at least I can make her proud of me thereā˜ ļø

Is very nice to have supporting parents especially towards those things (I always had a dad that never understood how much playing this kind of games develope intellectual skills, and always told me that was a waste of time).

As per your situation you should enjoy your age at your best, if it gives you joy playing Neo, you should definitely play.

^ This is what the original discussion stemmed from

Top 50 or 100 is not just a few tickets. Top 50 this time was 34k. Assuming you have a win rate of 75% and it’s ±1000 for wins that’s 68 matches. That’s actually almost ALL the tickets and roughly 9 hours. I said above, I don’t think we’re actually seeing ±1000 like we were in the past but we’re probably still talking 6hrs+ over a weekend. Friday can be impossible for people with work and other priorities so that’s maybe 3 hours each weekend day… again not realistic, especially if you want to use your weekend to progress PvE events too.

You said to me in a private chat when I beat you that you needed the win more because you were pushing for top 10 and my playing for top 50 was ā€œnothingā€. Well, I didn’t even get to top 50 in the end because I barely played on Friday and had other things I wanted to do at the weekend. I even started ranked PvP with a 16-18 win streak and overall had 85-90% win rate, but I didn’t grind enough to get there.

This ramble isn’t meant as anything argumentative. I’m just showing by numbers and personal experience that the grind for ranked PvP does not suit some people. Let alone going for top 10 where it’s often full grind, disrupted sleep and is stressful to do… not something people want when their weekends are for relaxing.

My 70+ recordings from this ranked took less than 6hrs

That’s the biggest problem I think. Ranked starts and finishes at 4am over here. If we get 6 tickets at the start, maybe we should get the last 6 ones too, then this issue would be solved for many players.

Just as you do too

Also your age (16) really shows from your comments.

Sageroom probably gives better advice.

Donuts advice to Loki was basically dont be sexist followed by a sexist statement where he automatically assigned gender roles where the man is the breadwinner and the woman is the one who stays at home with the kids. XD

this is 2023 donut. get with the times!

Where I exactly said that?
You must be reading something over the lines that I don’t.
We were talking about males just because the involved subjects were males.

I am at absolute favour of women working and having a career, and same criteria applies to them, giving up on your family for a game is not an option doesn’t matter if you are a male or a female.

Getting enough sleep is everything… A foundation for a happier and balanced life. You shouldn’t sacrifice it for anything else. Having suffered from episodes of insomnia, I know how bad it can be. Gaming affects that and makes sleep more restless. And uncut sleep has been scientifically shown to be much better than shorter stints.

I do suffer chronic insomnia, and I can tell you that the body tries to get used to the condition, but everything comes with a price in time, and I know one day I’ll have to pay that price.

I understand you, like you, I’m 18, I’m only at university so I don’t work and I don’t have women so when I’m not studying where I’ve finished a series from TD it is very easy for me to play all day because apart from that and school I have nothing else to domy days; but I understand others enough to understand how they feel (from what I see from parents)
I think it would be easier to listen to them because they have a better experience of Life and anyway everything in its time

as a scientist I can say it’s true, this kind of play really develops certain intellectual skills and unfortunately not all parents see it that way, but I can understand them; if your father saw all the waifus in the game it would be normal for him to see itin a really bad way its cool you can figure it out you must be a cool dad

Gaming is being used to improve cognitive function in dementia patients and prevention of cognitive decline. Also in recovery from a stroke. It’s a remarkable way of stimulating the brain. But that’s also a double edged sword as it can lead to addiction.

A scientist already at the age of 18? Are you a genius that went to university at a younger than normal age?

It’s true

:rofl:, no it’s just in high school I did the scientific series and one I still continue to do science so I consider myself a scientist but I understand that it may seem abused knowing that I have not yet obtained scientific degree

actually I’m not a sleep person, i love night and I love be awake at those hours, yesterday I went to bed at 6:00pm or so, so I sleep like 12 hours and I had this weird dream that is droving me crazy and I have a fisic exam rn that probably I’m going to failā˜ ļø so actually is better if i don’t sleep, i feel disturbed right now after so long

Sometimes you feel anxious at night and don’t want to sleep/ can’t sleep because of it but sleeping actually helps reducing it altogether. So it’s kind of a vicious cycle that’s hard to get out of.
