PvP Frequency

I agree.

You’ve missed it. I’m not talking about it as a player, I’m talking about it from a game design/balance standpoint. You seem to very much be seeing it from your current personal position where you already choose to skip a lot of the game content and expect other players to do the same without any detriment to the game. More /= better.

That’s just talking about that one point I was making but not going to go through it all. We each have our biases and can be closed off to other things. I said what I wanted to

So you are saying it would be too imbalanced in comparison to PvE? Or it’s too much PvP? I’m just trying to understand. There’s a lot of PvP leaderboards and ranked in various events each month, so right now I don’t see how 2 PvP would tip the balance

Tbh it should be demand and supply. It’s obvious that for most players it’s more fun to watch paint dry than to play PvE. Especially when the Devs backstabbed their own PvE events by introducing the shrine. I know you like PvE events but nobody’s gonna take them away from you.

Honestly just cut the rewards in half and redistribute them accordingly to the new biweekly schedule. Or at least make it more about win rate than about Grind. I don’t want to feel sorry that I want to life my life even on ranked weekends

I appreciate it

What I’m saying is that you have to be careful how much time-consuming content you add into the game. We all know how intense ranked PvP is and having it every other weekend does seem a bit much to me. I know you’re of the mindset to just pick and choose what to play but not everybody is happy doing that (not just talking about extreme cases like myself who do everything).

Ranked PvP is enjoyed by many but I think it’s best when spaced out. It would be horrible to feel overloaded with ā€œspecial rules periodā€, ā€œranked periodā€, ā€œspecial rules rankedā€, etc. etc. every week with restriction lists also. For the most extreme PvP lovers I’m sure they want more than it currently is but there’s a lot of people on the other side who find it perfect right now or too much right now. We’ve already seen the total monthly wins reduced as a good sign of the overall playerbase and each ranked PvP it’s easy to find many who feel it’s more of a grind than they’d like, so having that every other weekend could push them over the edge into frustration.

Basically, my stance is I think casual PvP is fun enough and the negatives of having another ranked PvP may outweigh the positives, or at least more people will be affected negatively than those who would prefer it.

My recommendation would be that occasionally (once every 3 or 4 months?) there’s a special extra ranked at the end of a month (during that week when there’s no PvP) which is no restriction list ranked PvP for 3 days, sometimes with a special rule added. It would have its own ranked/wins/participation rewards.

Ok! Got it! I think I still disagree, the positives outweigh the negatives to me - mainly because I stand by the fact that no one has to play and I think the majority of the people would be happy not to play everything.

Some people may feel one way or the other because of the rewards and sadly my poll doesn’t account for it. But that’s something which can be figured out.

The most disappointing thing of all is that there are people in this world who don’t want a zhulong buff :joy:

Ranked is exhausting because it puts grind over win rate and because it’s the same old Story again and again. The special rule PvP was nice at first but it’s kinda pointless to have it now because it never transfers into ranked.

Ranked just feels stale and boring recently. It needs some change

I know what you mean. It just makes sense to me that if you’re not up for it one week, you only have to wait for another two weeks and then the opportunity is there again, so you don’t feel like you have to grind you know? 4 days of ranked is clearly too much for most people by the looks of it.

I’d love to see one ranked with the restriction list or a special rule and then the next with no restrictions, but weekly

Tbh things would already change if some special rules would force us to use different teams in ranked. The way it is rn it’s a ā€žoh, a special rule, Iā€˜m just gonna run some stupid ā– ā– ā– ā– ā€œ, followed by ā€žoh non ranked PvP, Iā€˜m gonna try some stupid ā– ā– ā– ā– ā€œ Followed by ā€žoh it’s ranked Iā€˜m just gonna play the S Tier Spam I played for the last 10 ranked seasonsā€œ

Iā€˜m so tired of facing the same teams over and over again.

What about the Monthly rewards for Ranked?
Also this could be nice setup if they keep one pvp with special rule and one pvp without it(an open pvp).

Well as you pointed out earlier, I had no option to select for this

One of my many regrets in life. But 21% are now on agree with no Zhulong buff, which blows my mind

Maybe we need Shiny Zhulong

How about making the easy step first. Increasing max tickets? There’s no reason for not doing it right?
And more importantly giving us the last tickets X hours before the end. So it’s fair for the timezones and rl stuff.

What I’m trying to say is - f.e. 6 hours before the end you get the last 7 tickets ahead.

Completely agree with that too. i messaged VKC about the 6/12 start and it’s worked well. I’d love something for the end of PvP

Yeah but 40% want a buff. I reckon its a higher percentage than most other buffable mons.

True! plus we don’t know about the ones who chose disagree. So out of the usable data it’s 2/3

According to the logic of KD that’s basically the same as 100 % :yum:

I’d be able to play much more on weekdays.

I like to do non-neo activities on weekends

Do you like 4 days ranked? Or is that too much for you too?

Tbh I don’t mind the extra day because Monday is fine for me. Friday and Saturday nights are harder and I couldn’t play much this time. I don’t mind it personally, but totally understand why others don’t like it
