Pros and Cons

I’ll admit that I already posted this elsewhere, but I figured I’d share it somewhere more relevant. I’m curious as to exactly what other people enjoy and dislike, so here’s my list:

 

1st, what I like:

  • I like the limit on one type of monster, because it means you don’t have to farm hunting for multiple rares anymore.
  • I like how it is more strategic in how you compose your monster team.
  • The story is very good. It’s nice that your assured a good monster from gold eggs, no more easily obtained monsters from the wild wasting my gold.
  • The log-in bonus is a good incentive to play, but I wish the rewards were slightly better. Instead of friend points why not just give a youth fruit and cut out the middle man? The silver given isn’t enough to afford anything. And Only one gem every 10 days? I think one for logging in 10 days in a row is appropriate.
  • It’s great that when training that points go to whatever stat need them, rather than wasting a training session on a skill that’s already maxed.
  • The multiple teams aspect is nice, especially considering how much type and organization can make a difference.
  • It’s great when the game warns you before going into battle accidently with a bad team. 
  • This is a carry over from the previous games, but It’s some awesome aspects are the instant healing rather than waiting for an allotted time like other games. As well as they make it possible to receive gold eggs by in game means, instead of pay only.

 

What  I don’t like:

  • I agree that it sucks that all worthwhile monsters have to come from gold eggs.
  • I miss the diversity of monster abilities. It seems that are only a handful of specific move sets available that they applied to all the monsters.
  • The previous games would occasionally shut down and send me back to the home screen, but it is far worse in this case since that means a loss of tickets and prizes.
  • I understand it might be too much data or something, but I miss the multiple save files greatly. I enjoyed the opportunity to play with new and different monsters without having to give my old game.
  • Oh, and I turned off the sound effects and yet some still play, it can be very ANNOYING when an alarm blares from my game because of a boss battle, especially if I’m in public. (I think they may have fixed this)
  • I’m not a fan of the keys, especially the gold ones which need to be spent on either fruit or silver which are the only ways to improve your monsters.
  • I was worried what would happen if I hatched the same monster twice, since I can’t use two of the same kind, so when it happened I learned that it results in decreased time on said monster’s attacks. Okay, how much? About 0.033% decrease. Not to sound too greedy, but I would rather have a new monster instead of saving 5 seconds on an attack. Perhaps they can figure out a way to stop repeats, or at least allow for more than 5 seconds out of 160 or 7 out of 200. 

Totally agree, login bonus should change friend point to de-aging fruit. More gems on log-in because 1 per 10 days will not work. Increase the max limit of monster can be hold and captured. Legendary rate was so low that I spent $24 and get only 1 Legendary monster. 

Story is quite bad and rough, HI and DI were way better on this point.
And yes, monsters have all the same abilities and skills.

I agree with your sentiment on legendary rate. I spent the same amount of money and got the same results. This is another reason I wish for multiple saves, because I’m hard pressed to start a new game knowing that my money would literally cease to accrue anything. 

@GaryGray you are quite lucky that you got a Legendary for only 24$ I got no Legendary for 72$ so yeah I might have bad luck.

@godowar   The specialty moves aren’t cheap tricks imo. It makes the game more about strategy and less about mindless grinding. They do need to vary up the movesets more though to make the strategizing more fun.

my monsters are so weak I feel like its cheap tactics just to edge by, if the other people you faced relied on the same monsters it would make sense but they chugged 4* & up into these champions & other trainers & your stuck using 2* & 3* cheap tactics, I want to use those tactics with powerful monsters ive earned, id rather grind get strong monsters then implement strategy after I worked to collect em, the monsters you get are too weak to survive more then 2 hits in the master league on.

I do agree that the “free” monsters are too weak. I just disagree that the tactics are cheap. It would make me happy if rare/ stronger monsters were more accessible and then the tactics would start really counting during an endless dungeon or something.  I’m stuck waiting for keys like we all are. It sucks. You can only make it so far using tactics.
