Potion refunds

It was mentioned in another thread that devs should refund some bonus potions when they’ve nerfed a monster. This has little to no financial implications on the business model (as opposed to gems) so might be achievable.

Should Devs give the option to refund potions upon nerfs?

  • Yes, all of them
  • Yes, some of them
  • No.

I think it should be a choice.

Like take some nerfs like shiny tridra it became alot worse but is definetly still playable

So id like there to be a choice were you can choose to exchange the bonus on a nerfed monster for a limited time like they did with giehr after his change

Yes of course. Like the HP boosts. Edited the OP

Nerfs and buffs have to be differentiated into minor adjustments and rendering monsters useless. But a slight speed nerf can already destroy a monsters purpose in it’s main PvP use.

Also adjusting other monsters that rely on another are a problem.

Or the AI will change and make PvE monsters completely useless, like you can see on Chimunka. What is her PvE use, if the AI doesn’t allow the Vineye lock anymore? Another adjustment that I hope was mistakenly done and get reverted as soon as possible.

So I would say, after every adjustment, there should be the possibility to strip off the potions with silver for one month. So it cannot be abused for changing a whole team like with the HP boost.

It would make grinding PvE events even less rewarding.

Support the game, hatch more and convert SE pots into Legend ones.

Yeah i think they should, should also get refund if they nerf any shop only monsters in anyway. I know they do it when they change their skills but Poisedon couldn’t be refunded when they nerf its speed

As someone who does the PvE content, I find it very easy to have all monsters I care about boosted. After playing for a while that meant everything literally +9.

Personally, I think this is a suitable benefit for people putting in the effort to play all the content. Legendary potions have always been rewards for near the end of events.

You also get bonus on monsters from hatching extra copies. This is a nice extra benefit for spenders and something very intentional.

P.S. This is another community poll where the clear answer you’ll get from the community is “Yes” because it’s saying “Hey, do you want more of this valuable thing without having to make the effort to earn it?”. I appreciate the request and the opinions shared, but don’t think a poll really works for something like this.

Putting aside any differences in personal opinions…

How often do people think we’d get this offer to refund potions?

I feel like it would happen only once every year or two. Also, most monsters are only nerfed so that they’re balanced or get a cost increase… they’re not killed off. So it could be argued they’re still a fine monster worth having with bonus and the player simply benefitted more in the short-term from a busted monster.

I would love to max bond all legendaries but there is really no feasible way for me to do it… that’s my opinion on legendary pots

If you went for doing max bond on all mythics you might hatch them enough

Not even close. @squinty1880 awakened all of them and is still not that close to having all legends +9.

I am 2/3 there with myths and I only have ~150 legends +9.

Note

Ouch!

Wanna call out that there was a promise to give more leggie pots when the game introduced 6star tickets, but I don’t feel like there’s been a huge increase in general.

None of these events even had any Legend Pots unless I’m mistaken.

Verosia is coming and there are potions x3.

That’s good news at least

I do each and every PvE content but it’s still not enough to pot all Legends I need to, what’s bad is they halved the no of potions we got from PvP

As someone who also plays PvE I agree lol
