PLS STOP SPAM!!!
It’s some kind of spam bot, it’s been at large for some time now. Sadly, I’m not quite certain that we’ll ever be rid of it…
Devs need to add a captcha for subscriptions.
They could limit it to only be able to create 2 topics per hour, then it needs a human verification to do any more
We are working on fixing this. Talking to the backend service provider of the forum right now.

You have no idea how much work the mods do behind the scenes to eradicate the spam.
Yesterday, three entire pages of topics in the off-topic section were entirely spam all posted within only a half hour. It’s a small mod team and we do as much as we can but we do have lives beyond this and cannot be here 24/7.
I apologize that what we do truly isn’t enough, but these spam bots are persistent.
If you guys ever need a mod for the forums I’d be up for it, I nearly check the forum hourly, I doubt you’d just randomly trust me but once again I’d be willing to help 
The mods are chosen by the admins and they do work very hard to keep the forum up and running

Apparently, they actually managed to hijack my account since I commented on it and use it for spam… Yeek. It’s all good though, KC says they shouldn’t be able to get back on.
Absolutely folks, everything is well under control and we are attentive and active enough to pick these things off before they cause ill effects. My advice when such spam pops up is to report it and we’ll take it from there.
Obviously, it goes without saying that we don’t want it around but while it is, just be safe and don’t click those nasty links they post. I’m sure we will have it under control shortly but that does depend on the hosts more than the company.
