Old event exclusives

I personally really don’t like the concept of event exclusives.

Imagine all the diverse teams we would get if they didn’t exist and special eggs just increased the chances of 1 or 2. Like the banedragon eggs.

I use kong does that make me a throw user :joy:.

Yeah I agree with you here. There should only be a few event exclusives but we are now getting to the point where there is more and better event exclusives than normal dull looking legenadaries in regular egg.

We have 40 limted legends they just need to start feeding last years ones into the egg nest stuff like baha ultima etc
They won’t add stuff like Leo gold or first ones mainly cause they are money makers

They can easily add Bov and meta, nobody gonna pay for that.

The rare egg list should be updated

Honestly, I wouldn’t say no to the devs adding in some of the low-tier limited time Super Epic monsters such as Sunlord, Ogremaster and Nighthunter.

Or they could do a special rare gem festival… or something like that with them as potentials… Still keep them limited, but do something every now and then with a special pool and increased rare gem cost to summon.

Honestly, I feel a few things need to happen to make the monetary system better:

  1. The festival eggs(yes the festival eggs) need to stop. They discourage opening eggs during anything that is not a festival. Stop these and suddenly, people will start considering a long term egg opening strategy where opening eggs is encouraged. Rather than discouraged.

  2. Along with the no more festival eggs, you need to be guaranteed to get 1 legendary within 25 eggs. No more, no less. So that playing the game and hatching eggs during different special eggs is purely rewarding and never a bad thing. Spending money will also be guaranteed to give you something new to play with while keeping your customers around. And you can set the value of 1 legendary.

  3. Limited legends need to all be added to the regular wheel. The diversity of teams that you guys want in the game is sevearly limited and is seen only in the top 20-30 people in the game. The other thing that limited vs non limited legends leads to is a polar over saturation vs under saturation system. Where the devs have been trying to get rid of the oversaturation of banedragons, legend TTs, and Soulstealers by releasing legends that 200-300 people will get. This will not solve the problem Ever. If we saw all the legends widespread instead of in a few accounts, the bane, SS, and TT issues would all stop and a new meta would come out of it where Sleep, poison, sacrifice, stealth, stun, and assisted would All be completely unique and fun strategies. This would be a good thing right? :slight_smile:

4.(To the devs) Making legends limited does not instill a sense of urgency to spend money. Not at all. All it does is make people go “guess I won’t get it.” As that’s how I feel about all the new legends you guys release. If point 1 was put in then I would spend money on the game knowing that I was progressing my legend count and would actually have a chance at getting the limited legend.

  1. Going back to point 3, over 50% of the legends in the game are not accessible by 95%-99% of the playerbase because of the legends being limited. Why would you go to 1-2 months of effort to create a monster in order to have 200-300 people be able to experience it and have fun? Not to mention that most of the legends really shine when put with other legends, meaning that maybe nax out of the 1000s of people playing your game, 30-50 people get to experience the depth of the game. If this isn’t bugging you an incredible amount then I don’t know what kind of devs you are.

  2. I feel like limited legends were originally monsters that were supposed to change the entire dynamic of a team. This isn’t the case anymore(except a few, like the assisted flame one). Ultimadragon was meant to be this way, same with goldtail, and chronotitan. Now you guys are releasing meta counters as limited legends that are going to end up totally irrelevant later on after the meta shifts. Like, if the meta moves to stun + sacrifice, then chromera is going to be one of the most useless legends in the game. Seriously. Meta based legends are bad because of future repercussions. Not to mention that only 100-300 people will actually get their hands on it, so it won’t do anything to the meta anyway.

  3. The monatary system for a game should add to it, not subtract from it. I feel like you guys feel like you have to keep new interesting legends limited in order to make money. So you end up hindering the game like this. If instead you guys opened up the strategies in the game and instead of using urgency to get people to spend, you got the sheer fun of gaining a brand new legend to get people to buy gems, I think you would get more money then you currently are. There is a whole clan of 15-20 or so F2Ps that you could have the money of if you stopped catering to the 30-50 people with all the money and started catering to the couple thousand people that have some money, but not tonnes of it. Getting a new legend is FUN. You get a silly amount of fun out of a new legend. I have been experimenting with new teams for the last week since I got a shadowhunter. I still haven’t hit anything really good yet, but I feel like I will eventually.

Anyway, just some thoughts on how your monetization system is working and how it’s effecting gameplay. I would love to hear your thoughts on this VKC as well as Sean’s. If you have the time that is :slight_smile:

Agree with zard festivals need to stop its ridiculous the amount of it devs keep spamming limited legends almost every week
About adding all limited legends to rare egg im pretty sure it wont happens cus they want to suck players money but they could add some old legends to it (grovo,bahamuzar,the necromancy guy and all orhers…)and keep the money makers (deo,gtail,raizen,zib,aegis,sacti) on normal eggs
Also all event SE should be added to rare eggs

Here is the thing though: there are far better ways to earn money then paywalls. What I’m thinking is instead of a paywall with an arbitrary value to get past, how about a progression system?

Keep in mind that special eggs can still be money makers even with all the legends in the regular egg. You would still have a 1/25*1/80 chance of getting a particular legend. Which is equivalent to 1 in 2000 chance for a specific legend out of any given egg. So featuring them and upping the chances by 10-20x would still make money.

I agree with Zard totally.
Regular eggs need to guarantee new legends and good legends.
Also the devs should implement the 50%, 75% and 100% like the festival’s in the regular eggs.
Also the legends in the rare egg are meant to be rare legends so need to have more than regular egg legends and SE.
The devs don’t really need to change the system much of the eggs just what’s available in it and what can be hatched.
Also another way that also be done is if 1 hatched a legend. Maybe they can get a choice of 3 legends to pick from which are similar in element or type. Like in the island challenge. This allows the user to have more control and not just by chance what they are given.

I’m going to try to address each point you made briefly

  1. Festival eggs are fine they are a great way to feature a new monster or celebrate a moment in neo monsters eg the anniversary egg

  2. I can agree the odds should be somewhat higher but I would say more like 30 eggs will get you a legend

  3. That is easily fixed by devs after x amount of time add the limted monster to the wheel so players that missed out on it during the first release can roll for it

  4. That a matter of opinion some people think a legend and spend others do not

  5. Ok rest of the points really fall under limted legends are getting out of hand
    And I agree we need to start adding them to the nest so players can get them

  1. Featival eggs discourage spending gems on other eggs. This leads to people hoarding gems and then getting an extremely polar result. Either they are happy, or they aren’t.

  2. The reason I say 1 legends per 25 eggs is because in special eggs there is a 1 in 25 chance of a legendary.

  3. It can be solved this way, you’re right.

  4. This is matter of opinion. You’re right. I have noticed that the forum reaction does end up something like this though. Where we have a few people having fun with the new legend and the vast majority really not caring all that much.

I think we can both agree that they need to start making last years limted legends available
I did think they could release a new legend in a festival then after it ends its added into the nest
So players can go for it with higher odds or wait until they have either more money or more gems

Adding limited legends more available to the general public is very welcomed. If I’m not mistaken, currently we have 47 limited legends compared to the 40 legends of the regular egg. They should at least put ten of those limited legends to the regular egg.

Put oakthulu in the regular egg.
