No spawns after completed story?

Hello there,

I completed the story line of Hunter Island and am still having a great time, but when I go back to near Orlen/Agramis/any of the early towns I don’t get any spawns at all. I’ve been wandering around trying to get anything to spawn because that’s what was implied by the hunter location guides, but I’m wondering if those people hadn’t completed the game yet? 

I can get some spawns near the harder areas, but nothing in the earlier areas. I understand some of the spawn rates are extremely low, but I’ve read that people were getting trash mobs to defeat while I’m not getting any monster battles at all. 

As a side question, I have some level 99 arks but keep them at the end of my lineup because I think they waste xp that would be applied to other arks. At the end of a battle does the xp get divided evenly even if one or more arks are level 99?

Unfortunately, lvl 99s take up some exp even though they don’t lvl up…
