Today I started a match and forgot about it. I grabbed a drink and by the time I got back the timer was here.
I made a move and found it very easy to get back in the game. I thought I was going to be under pressure with the clock, but even after a few moves taking it up to 30 secs, it meant I had the same time as usual.
Timer is fine imo. I hope it is for newer players too. Most of the time you’ve thought of your next move during your opponents turn.
My 2 cents

This PvP timer is a buff for it! The way to get around Deus X was sometimes to force skip with your monsters, but now that is not possible.

Does anyone have any hot takes on the PvP timer?
Having played with it now for 40-50 matches I have to say it feels great. I’ve won a few matches to my opponent taking too long but never had any trouble at all myself. There are a couple of things which help get time back:
-
1TU secret skills generally give you extra time, because you get +10s for the “turn” rather than +5s.
-
When your monster is right in front of an enemy’s turn and it doesn’t hurt you to skip behind, that’s a great way to get an extra +5s when they skip right back.
If you’re someone who struggles to think ahead enough that you need time on your turns then I recommend taking advantage of that second point.

I love it. It’s so much better. I don’t even think about the timer anymore but it’s nice to really think things out when you’re in those tough spots
I think it is okay for casual but personaly I’d love to see atleast + 8 for ranked

I think it is great too. I thought maybe it should 10+ but I think it is great as is even though I played on my potato pc today (was super laggy) and I won my 4/5 (one loss was cause I missed which unit my opponent used that fast energy unit and I killed the wrong one). I think PVP timer rekindled the love in pvp because it actually feels like everything is played how it meant to. (also fortune shrine is still poggers)
