Where is the new egg. It’s nearly 2 hours late

Hopefully reason it’s late is due update being worked on rather then they just forget in any case prob best to forget about the egg and continue the day as normal

load all need load, but i think its for the best.
if load all doesn’t need load it will be the op’est skill of all time

Gryphking is by far the best out of all mortar monsters

I’m pretty sure the later eggs are completely independent eggs, so if it stresses you out just wait until they’ve all been released then you can pick which of the three you want to do. This festival is literally the perfect way to do the mortar legendaries… the new one is separated off so people with the old ones can get it guaranteed for 300 gems while the others are split into two different eggs for people to pick from, depending on which they want.

The only thing is that the featured legendaries do not have a boosted chance, so you’re very unlikely to get any apart from in the 6th pack where one is guaranteed. Also, it’s not one of the eggs with guaranteed legend 1st and 3rd pack which many free players like to focus on. These eggs are more for the spenders who want to grab specific mortar legendaries… all of which are strong.

I really like the new one. It’s the first legendary mortar monster to have hold ground, making it a pain to kill. The secret skill is incredibly strong and only makes it 14 cost. Load all works very nicely with Gryphking. I’d say it’s the perfect support to a mortar team, which is what I think people agreed upon when we saw the moveset on the forum a long time ago. Stand-alone, Sarcrosphinx is probably the worst mortar monster just because the others can be played with other strategies whereas this has not much fire power by itself.

I’m not going to roll for this guy, but I do have a preliminary thought. That load all TU is going to have to get reduced for him to really be viable. In that amount of time, the other mortars on your team can load up or if they aren’t, you’re going to get caught in between loading/skipping to wait for it to be worth it to use load all…

I think 200 is fine, he is supposed to be suppport mortar with good speed (80+%). Some of mortar monsters have instant reload in his ss make it more low will broke the mortar draft.
And he also got his ss which is reduce load tu.
To make the best out of him, he really good with gryphking and bunker combine (gryph and bunker have instant reload)
He is perfectly fine monster but need another specific monster to be good.

But of course i can’t wait someone got him and make a thread asking for buff

I think it was Lochi who shared the moveset of this monster a long time back. He shared it because he thought load all could be used as a “load” move rather than a “mortar” move, hence it being OP. We discussed it a bit after someone pointed out how he misread it. Basically it’s there to use with a TT or with Gryphking…

With TT:
TT → each uses mortar move for damage → load all → GT (from TT) to Sarcro → skip behind others → mortar damage moves with others → load all → mortar damage moves with others.
Just an example but basically lots of attack moves used in quick succession. I’m sure people can come up with better things.

With Gryphking:
Load all every time, Gryphking does give turn mortar every time to Sarcro and 3rd. 3rd monster is Bunkerbeast (say). Here you have Bunker+5 and Gryph+3 with potions. Once accelerated via Sarcro SS then every 34s you will use Bunker’s piercing mortar alternating once or twice.

Explanation…

  1. Bunker does piercing mortar (PM)
  2. Gryph double give turn to Sarcro load all first and Bunker PM second
  3. 33s later Bunker gets turn and does load mortar
  4. 1s later Gryph gets turn and gives to Bunker first (PM) then Sarcro for another load all
  5. 33s later Bunker gets turn and does PM
  6. 1s later Gryph does give turn to Sarcro first then Bunker [step 2 - it just repeats]

I get that, it just seems like a lot to go through for what other things do just as well. I could definitely be wrong though, so when somebody blasts me with it I’ll change my mind! :joy:

Yeah I agree. People weren’t too sure about Botanic until they got destroyed by Botanic+Gryph and a thread appeared asking for the combo to get nerfed haha. It would be fun to include Astro or Captainwhiskers as the fourth monster for crazy fast sweeping (not possible with Botanic) but it would be a bit silly to sweep so fast without stun protection.

I’m taking the approach that if I get tri or astro, then I might circle back for this guy. Already have bunker and gryph. We’ll see

so odds of getting one of the mortar legendaries is better on shining or ancient since theres 2 mortar monsters instead of 1 ?

which is better to roll my 1 pack on? shining or legendary ?

honestly, even if i dont get one of the legends would be quite happy to get botanic . hes a pretty good SE. i used him in biweekly a few ago and he cleans up protectors well.

I don’t have him. Don’t like spinning on festivals. And I need to load before I can use load all which is 330tu. Would pair it with gryphking but having to load first would make it hard to get going
