nerf all mythical

Guys this thread has been posted in at rapid speed for the last few hours and it’s challenging for moderators to keep up. In that time the points have been discussed to death so I think it’s run its course.

To summarise the thread:
The main point of discussion was the low cost of mythics (only 1 higher than legendary in awakened form, 1 higher than SE in 2nd form). In fact, almost all mythics only get +2 cost from their SS and many legendaries get +3 so in both cases the cost is 16, making the mythics costing more almost completely nullified. evidence here

On that we mostly agree. It doesn’t seem to fit with the rest of the game and there’s very little cost to running mythics so they’re basically just an upgrade to legendaries. The idea we pretty much all agree on is increase the cost of them slightly and also increase the max team cost.

However, there was a big disagreement between some people saying it’s unfair to run lots of awakened mythics in a team and how that shouldn’t be possible. Others saying they should be allowed to run all the stuff they paid for. This was basically classic F2P being angry about what they don’t have access to and P2W being a bit arrogant in their delivery, both sides being a little too entitled in their opinions (speaking impartially here - I mean no offence to either side). Ultimately Einstein (thread creator) partially ruined his legitimate point about the cost imbalance of mythics by showing his issue with it stems from his hatred of spenders having an advantage and his solution is to increase the cost enough that people can’t play too many of them, which definitely triggers some people.

Wherever you stand, the important bit is about the cost of playing mythics in a team. I feel like eventually the Devs will have to make mythics somewhat more accessible, even if it’s just the older ones (there are 60 right now, nearly 1/4 of the total legendaries+mythics and the number will only increase). When they do, over time people will build up enough strong mythics to fill, say, half their team with them. The cost imbalance will become a far more prevalent issue as people will be far more inclined to play their mythics over their legendaries.

Einstein’s = mythic cost 14 → 16, team cost 206 → 208
Jorge’s = mythic cost 14 → 17, team cost 206 → 214
KD’s = mythic cost 11/14 → 12/15 , team cost 206 → 212-214
