Limited, not banned, thereâs a difference and only for 2 seasons at a time.
Interesting the best stun protectors (stun counter) are almost always limited or semi-limited. The only time they arenât is when they just got off the list last 2 seasons. Then again with so few options, they are constantly picked resulting in limitations due to âhigh usageâ.

Yeah itâs a definitely flaw in the system. And they feel like you have to include them so donât get to play with the others so much.
They stopped following that rule. Now monsters can be on the next list as well in the same/changed position.

Long story short⌠I think now mythics are around a lot more and we see a lot of tanky monsters itâs become really noticeable that monsters like Angelion die easily, even though theyâre still really strong with what they do. The biggest struggle Iâve had lately with the top tiers of legendaries is figuring out how to value how well they tank. I think tanky monsters are the future, but I bet a lot of people arenât at the point where their teams are strong, tanky legendaries and mythics so I donât know if itâs fair to rate some things lower just because they donât fit the ideal team building by very top players. Also, it encompasses A LOT of legendaries that are strong but a bit squishy.
If you have any ideas about how I should be approaching this then Iâm all ears.

2019 was a different time! In hindsight itâs a shame it got the defence reduced
In my long ramble I said some stuff like this too. When you start comparing legendaries against each other then it makes things end up settling where I have them. I mean Angelion is better than Bloomeluge, but Bloom is also still S+ for what it adds to a team in terms of stun protection. Almost every monster in S+ you can make a very good case why it doesnât deserve S+ and should instead be S tier, but then you can also make the case for why theyâre better than many in S tier and it goes on and on.

But yes, 2019 was different. It was a nightmare back then especially with full sleep immunity. The defence nerf was right back then too, but I reckon it could be reverted now lol.
I didnât have to dig too much, just did @LemonSqueezy Angelion and it was one of the things that came up. To be fair, it was the only one like that⌠the other comments you made on the various Angelion nerf threads were mostly saying it doesnât need a nerf and you really like it (as were most veterans). There were quite a few threads, I remember it being a hot topic in that period!
The narrative at the time seemed to be it was newer players having a hard time against it and veterans found it mostly balanced. I think eventually that shifted to people complaining they couldnât kill it with Chromera or Searguard and that was a problem because those were meant to be counters to it⌠which is what convinced the Devs to reduce the defence. Kinda funny to think about now because lots of people (mostly veterans I think) have the opposite perspective, feeling itâs important they donât one-shot the counters to stun lock.
Ultimately I agree something did need to happen back then. Angelion also had the 100TU raw bloodfury, which was pretty oppressive combined with other raw monsters.
disagree it is always very good, just in terms of protection against stunning, all the world does not have momo, sakura or hasd and well configured you can do it survive very long, it has not changed, itâs like orca it also suffers from this weakness in Defense and HP, there are now many more things for the country but itâs still the best legendary of the game

Yeah I get all that. Itâs still a top monster. But S+? I donât know 
Itâs great for stun and sleep protection but so easily removed these days. Itâs S tier imo
if he goes down many others must go down with him

Yeah but sometimes thatâs expected if itâs a sweeper, but when you rely on it so much for stun protection and sleep protection, he dies in an instant and then youâre left open to control.
As I said though, Iâm not saying itâs bad, itâs just not right at the top anymore in my humble opinion.

Iâd much rather have a Sturgeon than Angel if someone gave me the choice between them. That is why Angel is S.
