šŸ† Neo Monsters tier list (see first post) šŸ†

You’re thinking of the terrible shiny one. The normal Heavenshorn didn’t get buffed

Oh. Fairy nuff. Heavenshorn still a chad tho.

What’s the problem with Berry? She has a bunch of decent damage options. Dual slayerbane and assassinate are weak but even with the attack boost from before they weren’t strong enough so if it’s the SS change which put you off her then I plead you to reconsider. Dual slayerbane should one-shot most things if both targets have a kill (I think), or otherwise it’s an extremely generic move you can continually use for decent damage that effectively kills 2 monsters every 200TU on average (which is still good). For the record, her assassinate and dual slayerbane have a hidden 1.25x damage multiplier on them so she’s more like a rounded monster than a standard defence monster for her damage dealing (equivalent to Prismaryx and Icefang for damage).

Correct but she will just die before she can do anything . I dono her speed but isn’t it kinda mediocre ? Speed is probably the highest stat factor I’d weigh in. Plus she has no way to endure 1 or 2 hits to do her dual thing .

71% speed is high! She also heals teammates on entry so helps your hold your position a little better even if the opponent targets her first.

She’s not great if the opponent is in full control, but if you’re trading back and forth she can be brilliant.

Ah okie . My opinion of berry was out of my battle experiences. Her double moves are risky in PvP and she doesn’t play vital role in getting the control back either that one loses by killing 2 at a time . Maybe that’s why I’m biased against her tier .

Dameule S+ tier no questions. This thing is a powerhouse with two immunities and cool rebirth mechanic.

That’s a very fair comment. She’s obviously got it for design reasons, because she ignores stealth, but sometimes you really need to play carefully and she doesn’t allow that flexibility.

I’ll try to always keep that in mind when rating her. I personally like to hold control in battles so I don’t want my bias on that to push monsters like Berry unfairly low, but I’ve tried to keep her basically just a little under the more premium PvP sweepers. I feel like B tier is fair for now.

I said in the tier list entry that it’s only not broken because we’ve got enough void moves but yeah it’s ungodly strong. One of the best legendaries in the game. I love the design but it might need a speed nerf or something haha

Why Chronotitan into S+ for general? I feel like I’m missing something. He’s not bad but seems nowhere near the other monsters in this category.

I also dunno if I agree with Polaboss going back up to S+. If you can pot him to +9 then maybe, but really it just takes 2 consecutive hits and he’s donezo.

Are you mental? Chronotitan can kill half a team of super buffed monsters. He is one of the easiest S+ PvE monsters in the game. Plus he has hold ground and desperate bite giving him good survivabilty.

On top of that even his non bomb attacks deal surprisingly good damage.

If any I would actually say novadrake is the one that shouldn’t be S+ tier. He is great for beginners no question however he basically requires you to run demontoad and link shadow. He is really good for bond quests etc as well but unlike every other monster in S+ if you run him alone he is pretty pointless.

Mantiferno im on the fence about. Low survivabilty is its only real issue though, other than that its great.

I think we can all agree eirlys S+ both pvp and pve! Undeniable truth :relieved:

As Eklypz says, it’s incredible for PvE. It doesn’t take much effort to make it work and the reward is well worth it. I was hesitant for a while because I thought it might be specific to my UC team but I’ve tried it elsewhere too and found it to be just as good. Also, when it’s in people’s teams in biweekly missions it’s clearly an important win condition too.

That’s a fair point, you definitely want him +9. This detail isn’t included in the tier list but I assume everything is +9. I imagine people will do that with the S tier monsters over time.

Similarly, you want either some kind of acceleration or other monsters that are killing/controlling enemies. Polaboss isn’t a win condition by itself, but it doesn’t take much work for it to be absurdly good compared to many other options. I was recently using it in a FL for MBQ lvl 100-120 and it was a key monster that typically survived the whole battle and got many kills.

I honestly think it’s good for everyone. As a beginner you use it with Demontoad and it wrecks almost everything. Later you can fine-tune the team and use it for a large number of the events. For true veterans it’s still a great source of stun and low TU sweeping. Sure, it struggles to kill buffed enemies but you can often use teammates to help line up the kills and once it’s got two then it is an excellent sweeper. I’ve continued to use it in PvE until about a year ago, only because my mythic collection trumps all my other monsters now (i.e. compared to legendaries, Novadrake is still incredible).

What makes it excellent in PvE is the free accelerate. Put it behind a section of your team with low TU sweepers (e.g. Novadrake/Polaboss) and it will hugely improve the strength of your setup while also doing piercing damage that easily takes out buffed enemies and all at efficient TU. Yeah it dies pretty easily, but not after accelerating your team and getting 1-2 easy piercing kills.

None can crush the hearts in your eyes. I will not try to dispute this

well afcourse! i found something that makes me happy to play so i want to share! the joy with everyone! so we sing her praise until forever :purple_heart:

is that snowman super epic good? the one with snow ball. what are its pros and cons?

It’s so nice to see legendaries more powerful than mythics :sparkles:

You finally realized it lol

Can oneshot most monsters without hold ground. Good for a superepic. Can be used for retribution style frontlines.

Also if you want to bring an entrance monster in.

I knew it all along but I was fighting against personal bias I have for tanky monsters and I know that the damage from lifeblight and confident strike is a little bit weaker than you want (when hit a tiny bit below 100% HP for confident strike) so wasn’t too sure about charging bloodthirst. I’ve been using it since release alongside things like Bastia or Brynhildr and I think it’s fair to say that in top level PvP you need some support like that to make it brilliant… but when I compare it fairly against the other SEs it is a stretch to say it’s not S+.

I’d rather overcorrect for personal bias and then fix that later. I feel it ends up with a better result. It’s also easier for me to recognise and fix, because each time I review positions it stands out to me that a monster like Akhekhion is lower than I feel it should be.

So @Killerdog when are the annual reviews comng?

Every year.
