oke if no double counter strike maybe,"counter strike " to counter megalodragon/ suikensi or ā€œkin slayerā€ to counter scarleguard and ahuizard on FL

cmon guys,if we have meta why we not make monster to counter it.

Canishogun is already a high speed counter to Fire monsters, but Counter Strike can work to make Megalo taste some of his own medicine.

If he gets a 2nd passive on top it needs to suck though.

Single stun revenge is good tho
And that ss is very useful like using it to remove shield/Stealth then double Retribution or clear some HG mons
I run Angelion after Zib so I can soul exchange and a get turn to raw BF which may backfire sometimes(single stun revenge) but not as it used to he’s solid imo
And his double Retribution can kill standard attack non storm monsters

Lavamane is the easiest comparison. It’s less versatile and 5% less speed (76 rather than 81) but comes with lower cost. Personally I’d say the two are mostly interchangeable.

However, I like Baublebasher as an alternative. 5% less speed again but it’s a camouflage monster with 100TU retribution, ally substitute for further combo potential and can be combined with a plant monster to be incredibly tanky and have a one-shot slayerbane. This is almost exclusively an upgrade over Ziberius which also works outside of the front line.

Another set of alternatives is the likes of Geomagnus or Voidress. Both are a little slower but with far more potential to set things up for your team as well as having very good aggression.

Cybereon is an interesting alternative. Again a little slower but it’s almost a half-way in-between Geomagnus and Ziberius. It can remove a teammate as well as itself if needed. It does a stun when it removes itself and if you don’t need to sacrifice then it can simply sendback for the entrance control. It also has revival synergy, although that’s probably not going to be done in the front line.

If what you’re looking for is simply the entrance control, rather than a teammate dying for retribution, then the titans are your best option by far. 90% speed beats Ziberius, you get a second use out of them at the end of the team and they’ve got some versatility with true hit. It’s even possible to use them with a monster like Mojinator 2nd form or Jawshank in 5th slot if you want to get the retribution trigger, which is a definite upgrade over Ziberius.

So overall, Ziberius does something which there are already plenty of options for. Many of the others do it in a more powerful way or at only a slight downgrade, making Ziberius a viable option but not an exciting one. Slayerbane and double retribution are both weak on Ziberius so it doesn’t function well and single stun revenge still bites you in the butt occasionally. The only thing it truly stands out in is the combination of insomnia and among the highest speed of the entrance control monsters. That niche is nowhere near enough for me to put it high in the tier list. The high speed cannibalise it offers is fine but when it’s so easily replaceable I don’t think it can be too high in the tier list.

Ok I forgot about Baublebasher, which I actually consider one of the best and most underrated monsters in the game right now.

Not gonna lie, the better alternatives are starting to pile up! However, the same can be said about my poor Banedragon, which for as much as I love him, I do consider him way worse than Ziberius. And he’s one tier above.

Glad I was able to mostly convince you

I noticed Banedragon was a bit high last update and moved it down a tier. Over time I might put it into E tier as well. These relics from the past are outclassed and it’s hard to see a reason to play them unless you don’t have the alternatives.

That’s the problem though.

Having Banedragon lower than, say, Sancstallion would honestly be insane. I mean I know that Banedragon is outclassed at this point, but he’s still a solid option!

I think the same could be said about Ziberious. You’re just being too hard on them, better options or not.

Also why is Shuri D? Are you crazy!? After the Poison Immunity buff he’s amazing! Before Asmodia I actually wanted to run him!

Leave my FL alone :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Is not an upgrade and i will explain why (Because you quoted 3 monsters of my FL). 90 speed Retreat with a roaring entrance self sacrifice on 5th doesn’t warrantee to trigger retribution for 1 simple reason… Bastia so imo Zib Lavamane are by far the best restitution FL triggers there are (Basher is to expensive and valuable to waste on that function i really don’t understand how many use it as a trigger when is potentially better than even Jaguardian in many situations) oh and another common counter to retreat canibalize is Gravity Field and with Skele being more common every day is nothing to ignore.

Lol. You saw what I deleted xD

Unrelated but you could add the 4 star link double poison eaters to ā€œother notable pvp monsā€. Especially volcagmyr, he gets use in link fire poison teams

The tier list for PvP doesn’t include epics. I thought about including them when doing the renewal but I decided it simply wasn’t worth it. I’ve written:
ā€œNumerous epics (refer to General tier list but with preference for poison and lower on the duplicating and survivor/megabomb monsters)ā€

I’ll have a think what I want to do because I agree with you that there are particular epics which are viable but there aren’t many. Maybe I should do a drop down section there which is ā€œthe best epicsā€ or something similar?

Should definitely add the 83% speed island monsters that are easily potted 0 - 1 star with OoO that can afterwords be killed off via Painful Curse from Bundleblazer :grin::grin:

They die to Bundleblazer? Wow, I’m surprised I never thought of that! Any high speed monsters in the enemy team probably ruin it though so it’s super high risk.

High risk but high reward. You can always pair it with Meglodragon to take out a high speed threat that might ruin it, but if you do the training and invest in only speed (so dont train it to 100%) and pot it to +9 then Bundles Painful Curse can kill it. I’ve been doing it for some PvE and it’s pretty hilarious but still basically the poor mans version of Onigeist/Stratus and the even poorer mans version of OoO Yeti lol. I just prefer it to Yeti because Yeti can be such a deadweight after OoO so at least the island Mantis with OoO can die to Bundleblazer and still be able to lock up your opponent with him afterwords.

Ah okay, so has to be not trained up in HP and defence… sounds almost like an exploit  It’s definitely a downgrade over Stratu/Oni for the reliability issue but yes definitely better than Yeti. To be honest, since it has to be done in a very specific way (not max trained) I don’t particularly want to mention it in the tier list.

I feel you, I just also know how much you enjoy Bundleblazer and thought to give you this tidbit in case you wanted another way to run him. Plus the Mantis is a 1 cost OoO at the high speed :+1::+1::+1:

Can’t you just add them to the worth mentioning tab with special rocks, bulbie and so on?

I mean it literally says ā€œ4 stars or lowerā€.

That’s literally what I was asking if I should do haha. I’ll add another section which is for the best epics
