I still don’t understand why motor isn’t S+. It’s the key mons for token strat. What it does is very impactful.

People have this weird misconception that if something is very popular then it must be very good/better than something else. It can be but it doesn’t mean you should forget about critical thinking and having your own opinions. I always cringe when someone says ā€œeveryone thinks xā€ or ā€œnobody does xā€, it’s such a bad foundation for an argument. What matters is how you argue your point of view.

Short answer: because it’s too niche. S+ monsters usually do many things very well. Or one thing better than any other monster in the game.

For your first doubt, it does instantly summons 5 bronzeshells in his first turn. It doesn’t seems impactful until he kills u r first mons. Then u will find when he start to sweep making ur team full of bronze shells + vines or any other token.

For ur last doubt, he is the best among all the token mons in terms of token spam and disturbance. People keep jackolene in higher tier which is absolutely wrong in my view. She often gets dw and without motor she is totally useless in PvP unless things line up for u.

Charybdia is extremely strong. She was also meta warping on release. Sometimes the two go hand in hand! Other times you get things like Bastia who is crazily strong but you have to build your team in a certain way so she does see some play but is never super popular.

I’ve been very skeptical of Motordragon for a long time, but in recent years I’ve come to respect it some more. It’s always been good, but not insane. I’ve ended up with both it and Jackolene in A tier. They’re good choices for token disruption and it’s a valid strategy but that’s about it (in my opinion).

You must mean the Motor user because Motor itself has a very hard time getting kills with his super outdated Gigaspark (dual). After Motor has spawned 5 bronzeshells you’re better off killing it… Which is the exact reason why it can’t be a S+ or even a S tier monster. A tier is perfect for the impact it makes through the bronzeshells, but the monster itself lacks the final X factor.

I think Rhinoel outclasses Motor because it can do more than just summon token monsters.

definitely not

For what it’s worth, there are almost two dozen placement I disagree with to got now but barely talk about at all. Rosegeist just happened to be mentioned while I was feeling like typing up a post about something.

I should’ve said overall impact instead of comeback potential. In other words, we should be comparing scorpiogeist’s comeback potential (because that’s all that matters for scorp) to rosegeist’s impact on the field and how helpful that is.

As a sweeper, it’s really not that good. 49% is slow and the rest of its sweeping moves aren’t anything special either. Since rosegeist can only use single target moves until it gets a kill, it would need something spammable, piercing, or high damage. I already mentioned why the two moves don’t cut it and swift terrorize isn’t enough to compensate. Same goes for that mutual life flip move.

I also encounter Bastia in PvP iirc, it was only once… And I don’t think they make it out alive after my Auro spam reincar on Slimetank.
I wonder if there’s at least a common Charyb counter… By I mean common is that a monster that can easily be got.
I don’t even think death revenge can get it done easy, either, unless luck is on your side or a genius who could exploit that.

No doubt. Gimmicky as all get out. But I can get him to finish and use SS maybe 2/3rds of the time, which is 6 to 8 kills. Which is half to a third of the enemy team on his own. Doubly impressive against PvE teams where their health/def buffs dont stop it. Everyone has their favorite ā€œunderdogā€ mons they swear by that nobody else really buys into, y’know?

But, honestly, I just like the design. It was a cute idea for a monster moveset, and the ā€œcentipede dragonā€ style just tickles my fancy. I dunno what to tell ya.

I love it, it’s a great monster to use especially for pve. While is not unusable for pvp too.

Another update… These are coming out very quickly. Tenebris really did not need to be made stronger…?

Regardless, most of this update seems to be (a) neutering the 2nd form of many legendaries to make sure they are not viable as an 8 cost monster, and (b) update a few weak mythics to increase power. Uranium got a huge boost.

People who have Shiny Cyclozar… Can you tell me about your experiences with it? On paper it seems like a good monster, it will most probably have targets and most probably 1-shot. TU are a bit high but it can be worked around by accelerating. It’s also fast and can retreat. Currently it has only one passive and by the current trends it will most probably gain another one in the future (Nullifier would be awesome on it )

So, worth 12 tickets or not?

yes

How have you used it if you don’t mind me asking?

Retreat and throw it away

other than that, it’s reliable at killing, just a little high tu. If there are no targets you can always retreat. If you meet something like OoO there is a chance they might outspeed cyclo, retreat into moji could work in these cases as well
