Totally agree.
80% means 40% speed duplicates. This is with nothing added to it.
@VKC any chance we can get this on the next update?
Shield entrance for the duplicate is actually a great idea for this monster. If you don’t want to increase their speed that much…
Yup I was thinking about this already. Nebel/Cosmo may not have an entrance passive but what they do have is protect teammates. So, at the end of your team, they can protect the new one that is coming in. My Cosmo causes the AI a lot of trouble when I’m using swift stealth all and protect teammates. Use both Cosmo and Cryo/Sancti then the AI struggles a huge amount to finish you off.
I know you guys want a speed buff or something that makes them much harder to kill before they get a turn. Personally, I think they’re quite balanced how they are although Nebel needs something done with its secret skill. Maybe, just maybe, they could get something like stealthy entrance. That could play into the protect teammates thing they have going on when at the back of your team. But whatever the case I don’t think we should ever expect duplicating monsters to be as strong in PvP as others, human players will always be able to deal with them better than AI and they can’t all be made OP in PvE just because people want them strong in PvP.
AI is struggeling with anything tbh… 1 doom can kill an entire team.
If you want to use cosmo in the way you mentioned killerdog, keep in mind:
- Time until first turn: ariund 100 for a dupe.
- Dupe: 70 tu
- Protect teammate: 100 tu.
- Stealth all: 50 tu
Means you need a spare 170 tu just to dupe and protect, while another move will be 270. In this time most of the time you will be dead, thats alot of gap.
Usually dupes have something to cover that gap, wether a passive or a speed.
Cosmo nebel, and sanct cryo, both pairs got nothing. Thats their problem
If you pay attention though you will notice that the game has become more pvp focused and the devs are looking at permanent pvp. There will be a point where a monster being balanced because your opponent is stupid isn’t going to be a good excuse.
PvP is a great motivator for top spenders, therefore being a important aspect for driving revenue. The devs would be fools if they’re not going to capitalise on this by making monsters balanced for PvP. However, it would be terrible game design if they jeopardise PvE balance for the sake of PvP… which is why I’m bringing it up. Many games choose to make small modifications to the skills/monsters for PvP in order to keep the two scenarios optimal but I saw Dev VKC mentioning at a couple of points that they want to avoid this as much as possible. They’d like to design the monsters such that they work in both environments. There are always going to be ones which stand out more in a particular case (e.g. enemy Deo or Prisma in PvE) and I think that’s totally fair. So, if the Devs don’t want to modify things for PvP-only then any duplicating monsters will probably be balanced more for PvE than for PvP. The only case where I’d complain is if monsters are simply unusable in PvP. All monsters need to have some level of viability in PvP even if they aren’t as strong as the majority.
So with that in mind… I don’t believe giving Nebel/Cosmo a speed buff is the answer. Perhaps what they need is more support-focused set of skills. Something that would be very useful in PvP and not game-breaking for PvE. E.g. switch friend could change to “stealth double” or “stealth all” and the secret skill on both of them becomes instant switch friend. I haven’t thought about the full PvE implications of that but it would be quite a nice buff for PvP to bring in any duplicate and instantly protect/stealth it as well as other members of your team.
Sorry for speaking differently to you all but I really think there are alternatives to a speed buff.
Why are you so opposed to a simple speed buff though? That would literally solve most of its issues rather quickly… your alternatives sound a lot more complicated then ours.
If you’re worried about “breaking” PVE then you should take Dragaia and Godfeather out cause I no joke beat every single story mission and event when I first started by only using Dragaia. For MONTHS, I’m talking about wiping out entire chapters with this one single monster. It would’ve taking me 5x longer to beat everything if I didn’t have him. I could literally still use Dragaia by itself to beat events if I wanted to but the fun of that has kinda stopped. He’s literally a game destroyer for PVE. Why aren’t you so worried about him? He was even usabale in PVP back in the day before we had these ridiculously OP legends.
Oh you are not the only top 50 player who uses cosmo/nebel in pvp.
They are enormously useful to set up your wanted line-up. And they are fun, because you have less control over which enemy mons will be killed.
Name another player then
Me lol
Why do you think i made this post to buff them?!
I have to say I really hate the protect team ability he has. It just makes him really weak to protect killer… Probaly 70% of the times I use him he wont even get time to use dupe 1 time…
And that’s why we’re pleading for a speed buff
Give him a new moveset (without losing DR) … His protect teammates is just stupid, his attack all too… What on Earth was the devs Intention to give him high attack stats plus protect nooo sense… What about Shield entrance, slightly Speed Buff, remove protect, remove attack all, put in stealth all and maybe pullback or low tu attack like timestrike … sS shadowdouble or Instant dublicate
Final moveset would be
Stealth all
Pullback / timestrike
Switch Friend
Create dublicate
SS : shadowdouble / Instant doublicate
Thoughts ? Nice Support
Dear god no, having two duplicate moves would be a disaster. I think their protect/dr has serious potential, but they’re simply to slow to execute it. So I am totally in favor of a speed buff, and they should also be more durable like protectors should be, they’re really never going to get anywhere with their attack power. I know it’s bad to boost everything’s speed, but there’s plenty of slow monsters that work just fine, such as Goldtail, Serapheon/Solariel, Penguinator, Banedragon, and Utopion. But the brutal reality is, Nebel/Cosmo will never be usable with this speed.
Create duplicate and pullback can be OP timestrike can work
What about making clones keep the same speed as the initial monster? Then instead of 80/40, like zardiboy said, it could be just 50, maximum 60 for initial and all clones.
All this should have already been implemented when devs “buffed” this guy the first time… what did they actually do to buff this monster other than adding a secret skill and changing create duplicate into bloood duplicate?
Duplicates should inherit the bonus and speed from the original.
I have a simple idea that will turn them into rank S+++: Roaring Entrance
