[Link slayerbane all] gyo

In general, LINK, RAW, SOLO and Secret Skill have different TU from the normal one as well as its damage.

Our reason is that LINK/RAW/SOLO skill all have restriction, and Secret Skills require extra cost. And TU reduction is not enough, so we also increase the damage. Basically you can see them as different skills from the normal ones. But the same LINK/RAW/SOLO skill should have the same damage. i.g. Gyo’s LINK Slayerbane All is the same as Prismaryx.

@Professor_Oak We understand your concerns, but If it is about its damage scale, we believe Gyomurai is well-balanced after SS tweaking.
What we would like to kwon is will it(different damage) seem confusing to the players?

Most of the vetereans learned it because of experiance and shared information. No part of ingame info tells that. So tbh, for newer players, it would be great if theres an info that tells these kind of stuff in-game.

Thanks for the detailed explanation Dev vkc ! That explains why gyo’s slayerbane all is more powerful than any other slayerbane.

And yes, it’s confusing for newer players because info in-game doesn’t specify this since it explains only on how to use these restrictions. So a note about increased damage could be helpful for newer players since we see raw/link/solo as a burden rather than a trade-off for TU and damage!

Thanks again for clearing it up.
And thanks for all the veterans who participated in the discussion and kept the thread clean.

I was away the last few days so didn’t get to comment on this. @Professor_Oak I skimmed through but to answer your questions (many of which already answered by Dev_VKC)…

  • Secret skills can always have a different damage modifier on their moves compared to if the same skill (even with same TU) is on another monster.

  • Gyo’s LSA does do less damage to storm monsters and is exactly the same damage modifier as Prisma’s. The damage modifier if the enemy team has just one kill is 0.85, which compared to killer moves / poison eater (0.56) it’s a lot more damage. It’s the equivalent of doing timestrike on something at roughly 225s.
As people said, originally this dealt low damage on Prisma and the Devs buffed the damage twice until it now one-shots most things after the enemy team has just one kill. To start with Prisma’s link slayerbane all with 0.9x the damage modifier of Peng’s and no excessive force it needed 3 of the enemies to have a kill before it did one-shot damage (in reality never happened). They decided to make it a hugely punishing move that pushes LINK as a strong strategy.

  • The first few LINK moves typically dealt 0.9x the damage of the non-link version but came with lower TU. This is still true in general but moves on certain monsters / certain moves / secret skills have been tweaked to do more than the non-link version. RAW moves are also typically a bit weaker from what I’ve seen.

  • Secret skills which include “swift [move name]” seem to be the ones with massive damage. It appears the Devs like to use that tag when they turn the damage modifier up very high. E.g. Swift toxic killer on Cyclozar (originally did about 18k damage), Swift faststrike on Ashterios (does huge damage) and Swift dual slayerbane on Magmarinus (one-shots pretty much everything, just not tanky water monsters).

  • Some moves have their damage tweaked just on specific monsters, making the whole thing super confusing. E.g. Retribution has very variable damage between monsters and Detox strike on Freezecobra has 1.5x the damage modifier compared to other monsters with it.

I plan on bringing out a guide with damage modifiers for all the moves in the game but for now I’m doing other stuff.

Swift chrono killee by rexo never made alot of damage. He has a hard time killing a TT for example.

Yeah that one is bad. They were matching the name of Delugazar’s I guess but lowered the damage because they don’t want it as strong (don’t ask me why… I’d like it stronger).
