Let’s talk about Pandamonium

Given we have had threads on Cani and Scorp already let’s do something different.

Instead of complaining about a mon that needs a nerf, let’s look at something that desperately needs a buff and is considered the worst limited legend by a wide margin (proof: it is the ONLY limited legend that is a D in both PVE and PvP which is the worst tier). Suggestions to improve it that could actually happen?

Edit: Mulasem is a limited legend also D in both PvP and PVE but honestly it is so much better than panda and should be C in both. Or a new tier called F could be created for Panda

It just needs Death Revenge and we can call it a day

Make the stun either unlimited uses or not healing, make the sleep on himself half the duration for the sleep or take away poison immunity, make blood poison 30% damage to himself, SS only a 100tu maybe 150tu restriction. Another idea is giving him tardi’s thick skin passive (trade that for poison immunity), or make his killer immunity passive heal him for 10% each time he gets a turn.
Maybe not all of these things but these are suggestions.

A Pandamonium buff thread? Say no more, I’ve got plenty of ideas.

  1. Replace Poison Immunity with either Sleep/Stun Immunity.

  2. Take away the healing from the Stun move but reduce the TU to 120 as a means of balance.

  3. Reduce the damage from Blood Poison to 20%

  4. Reduce the TU restriction on it’s SS (100sec should do.)

These don’t all have to be applied, but at least one or two of them should be implemented for the sake of making the monster somewhat useful. Because as it is right now, it’s outclasses the original Staticsphere and Prismpaw as the worst legendary of all time.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen this monster in an opponent’s team.

I’m sharing Pandamonium if anyone wants to give this monster a try

He needs one good attack something like chrono killer would be nice or times up.

Or a unique skill that kills stun immune monsters.

His stun should not heal the enemy
Reduce the self inflicted damage by his posion
Reduce the tu of his secret skill requirement to 100
Limit the sleep skill to 5 times so it doesnt get out of hand.

Passive
Change the posion passive to a new passive

I have to nice ideas for his passives

1- when the monster is a sleep it gains protect
2- This monster cant be slept for more the 100 seconds.
3-Reduce the tu of his secrete skill to 100 tu.

Change his pass skill to auto protect

Panda is really sad ~ he has poor practicality.

The only buff this guy needs is to replace poison immunity with stun counter

(P. S: Im being selfish here because I don’t have any monster with stun counter :triumph:)

He should be given auto protect and death revenge and also in the next egg so I can get him

The best thing about Pandamonium is Sacrifice Team Turn. I’m so happy they gave it a skill to remove itself from the field and make it gone forever.

Poison immunity should be changed to:
Panda fur - Immunity to poison, stun and does not take damage from attacks that deal 600 damage or less.

Maybe make Healing Stun heal the user too.

With both of those changes it could be a nightmare to kill and more reliably get towards the sacrifice team turn. In the meantime it can support the team with some fun moves.

It says a lot about how bad a mon is if it’s main purpose is to remove itself as quickly as possible.

This is similar to what I was asking for, and it would be a major buff to him. Good suggestions :+1:

It definitely needs a buff. I have the ultimate move to fix it.

Move name:

“Instant refund” 1 TU

"When this move is used Panda is deleted from your monster collection and you get a refund for all the gems you used hatching it.

This is coming from somebody that doesn’t even own it.

If it were my job to fix him, then I would want to play toward his intended theme, which is of course chaos. I think the best way to accomplish that would be to bring his TUs way down, maybe average about 50-70. Lower TU means he’s more prevalent throughout the match, which can compound the feeling of everything spiraling out of control. Would make him a very fun and wildly unpredictable threat.

Of course, the moves themselves will have to be improved in order to really be that threat. I think the stun and poison moves are fine as they are, will become much more convenient at low TUs. The sleep move drags him down imo because it causes him to rely on his allies to wake him back up, and if he doesn’t get woken up then he’ll just sit there, not stirring up chaos. I suggest the sleep move be given a different downside, like perhaps granting the target stealth? I think that would totally be a good way to limit how badly a 50-70 TU sleep move could be abused. And obviously his aoe is fairly useless, so perhaps it could be upgraded to something like flocco’s slash? Piercing would be a nice little thing to add to his repertoire.

Of course, there’s definitely concerns about being able to rapid fire stun or sleep something… so how about a new condition on all 3 of his moves that he can’t use the same one twice? It limits the potential of stacking stun on a single monster or rapidly sleep locking the enemy team, and encourages the user to branch out and keep the unpredictable chaos alive. True, you could alternate between sleep and stun, but there’s a good chance that the enemy will have a counter handy for at least one of them.

So yeah, that’s what I’d do.

I thought about lowering TU too but I think each of the moves could be too abusable with lower TU, especially the sleep move + 50TU purify.

Sticking to the chaos theme is what we want. However, the poison and sleep moves contradict each other so much it holds back Pandamonium a lot.

This monster currently has two good things about it:

  1. 60% speed guaranteed sleep on an enemy, which you can repeat every 120TU if you can purify.
  2. Blood poison to set up your poison monsters (similar to what some other monsters can do but on a much more reliable body - full defence legendary with poison immunity)

Both work in different teams and rely on you having monsters to support it or benefit from it. You can never rely on a scenario that’s perfect for it and the moveset is not flexible despite it looking like it is. It needs more reason to run it. I wish the moves weren’t contradictory so you could actually use it somewhere and have a diverse choice of skills for a variety of situations you might be in.
