Interference's (narcissism) 5★ Monsters Solution

Isn’t it heartbreaking that there are a lot of wonderful monsters, like the -kaizer dragons, Deucalizon, Thordragon, Draconought etc… all relegated behind a middling and non-unique moveset?

These monsters have been neglected since the start of the game and really don’t offer that much. Most of these are actually more useful unevolved (5★ Stunning Entrance + Heal All) because they really offer basically nothing and aren’t worth investing into.

Hatching them is… a letdown. On top of everything, they are source of disappointment when hatched. Granted, a newcomer may find them extremely useful in earlygame, but once they get in the competitive scene… such monsters are destined to be permanently ignored.

Then… why not give them renewed dignity? All it takes if for them to get diversified movesets? There are many reasons why this would be a positive change:

• These 5★ will have a chance to shine, perhaps finding their own niche, and quit being nobodies.

• They could create different combos, perhaps even PvP viable, and that will help vivify the meta, even for a limited time.

• Finding 5★ in normal hatches won’t necessarily be a disgrace anymore!

I will bring some examples here with two categories of 5★ monsters:
•) Survivor + Desperate Double
•) Poison Gas + Poison Massacre

These are but simple ideas, that nonetheless I think they could help these poor, forgotten monster a place in some team, at least! Now, imagine this applied (surely more thoroughly and accurately) to other 5★ archetypes: Twin Death Sentencers, 400sec Megabombers, Protect Focus…

Uhh you can’t have such a high speed twin knockback monster…

I don’t see any point in leaving Pegassiah out of it… she would instantly be outed as the weakest link, rendered obsolete.

Anyway, a couple of these seem pretty excessive… dual throw + twin entrance, in the same tier as mons with single throw and no rock source? And confident strike + twin KB at 96 speed… yuck. I’m definitely on board with the sentiment of giving these older mons a real opportunity to shine, but it should really be done with care.

@NMEduck @Lucrayzor ah, pardon me: obviously the stats have to be adapted too.

This is why I said:

in the post. I only came up with some sample movesets but it’s 1am and right now I’m too lazy to think of speed+statlines.

Plus, my idea of Dual Throw implied it deals less damage, much like Throw All. It wouldn’t certainly be lethal damage.

Also the 5 star poison massacre monsters have a ridiculous TU for the move (250TU)
Voodoom has poison massacre at 100TU
What a huge difference

Voodoom is a legend so that’s pretty reasonable

Yeah Voodoom is good as it is.
But the SE’s maybe 200TU?

Not to mention that Voodoom’s attack is very low for a legend, so it’s not going to do all that much anyway.

Share that 5s Poison Massacre ideas mate, those were golden.
