When did Neo community become this toxic, smh

Yeah I agree it’s a shame the discussions are often pretty toxic. However, you also came in with the term “mythic spam” which has all the toxic connotations so you got everyone wondering if what you were playing was something honourable and/or unique or whether it was just something on the level of mythic spam. As pointed out, your team is putting the strongest mythic that can go behind a wall of protectors followed by S+ legendary spam so it’s basically just the same. I’m not even loosely throwing around the term “S+ legendary spam” there, your 8-16 have barely any synergy besides specific pairings.
You may have not been trying to bring up ethics with your original post, just a celebration of your success in the special rule. I think if you’d phrased your original post a different way you would’ve had the reaction you wanted.
Btw congrats for the win streak, that’s pretty awesome ![]()
Phrasing his post in a different way would probably mean taking out the acknowledgment of how nowadays it’s usually the teams with 7+ mythics that are getting the high winstreaks.
@SneakyNinja’s team seems to have good synergy to me. Because he’ll often get a big headstart in the early game, he has three sections that can swing momentum back in his favor to prevent opponents from making a comeback or make one himself if he falls behind. I shouldn’t need to explain how those work, but I would add that Mantisamurai can feel free to use OoO if it’ll land because the goal is to kill as much as possible before the endgame.
Also I’d bet money that the first person who responded negatively has had a noticeably lower winrate than what he usually gets due to the lack of mythic spam ![]()
You’re just jumping in to justify any team which has Freezecobra → Scorpiogeist → Deathgazer end-game. I know you love it way too much ![]()
You’re seriously gonna make me explain this? Alright, with any team that has a frontline that usually either flops or decimates the enemy lineup, you need the followup to be able to squash your opponent’s momentum to either regain control and stop your opponent from making a comeback or to make one yourself. This is especially true for OoO teams and I really don’t see enough players doing this. i.e. they let me make massive comebacks against them when that shouldn’t be happening.
The APs are scummy as hell but quite effective at dealing with teams that can’t counter them or aren’t running at peak efficiency after the opening set of moves. He needs gearcroc for obvious reasons and geocosma won’t be deadweight regardless of what happens. Musashoid could be a liability but that gets balanced out by giving wraithhost some more needed protection. Lunactia at 8th slot wouldn’t be my first choice, but it should matchup well against a lot of the teams that could counter him. I already explained why mantisamurai is perfect for this type of team. Slots 11-16 means his opponent needs their current lineup to either have good stun protection without APs on the field or good entrance control.
I must say, I really dislike these endgames that run deathgazer as the last sweeper. Imo that’s usually subpar teambuilding for the endgame. You’d be spot on if you said I was trying to justify any team that runs effective endgame stun although it’s still used much less than it should be ![]()
I can’t tell if you’re trolling. My point wasn’t that it’s badly built or those monsters don’t serve a purpose there. It’s that there isn’t synergy between them except for bug+bug, aquatic+aquatic and then poison together at the back.
I also reckon you’re thinking too much into their purpose and it’s more likely to be a case of trying to sensibly fit the strongest legendaries he owns into the team then ending with a standard and trusted final couple of monsters. I haven’t really seen anyone putting in a mid-game OoO for breaking the opponents momentum and Padrinorca alone is not enough to open the opponent up to stun wave from Nova.
You’re completely ignoring the synergy that comes from how each segment complements the previous one when it comes to balancing out the early aggression with potential reversals like mantisamurai and orca + nova. That’s way better than having a bunch of passive sections that appear to have some sort of synergy but would fail to stop or create comeback once you lose control. In the end, it doesn’t matter if @SneakyNinja intended all of what I mentioned since it still doesn’t change the fact that it’s all there and he’s the one with the 38ws.
You also didn’t see anyone running harleking in the endgame last season when over half the top 10 was using it. Mantisamurai can break the opponent’s momentum if it can sleep everything on the field and kill key sweepers that were being used to push the comeback. The bad entrance control + sleeping your own mons is less relevant when you’re not the one making the comeback. It’s definitely overlooked by a lot of players even if it’s not a particularly reliable reversal.
You’re right that orca and nova isn’t enough to setup a small stun lock. They’re still fast and strong enough that your opponent would need to kill then off quickly or else lose control if you set it up that way.
Honestly I am kinda with you in this. Carmilla till wraith and crim till gazer makes sense to me. Luna mantis sturg orca seems more of an desperate attempt to make something work rather than it synergising well in the team
I feel like something like an abusable entrance with Luna or dreadmoth with Luna makes more sense
But all this is just blabbering from me. If that team wins its matches, then it’s better if it is left unchanged
Bruh I really can’t believe u guys are discussing this when the guy was just happy because his ws
need to stand with duck in this too, don’t ask me how but I understand what he meant
The late midgame would definitely be better off with at least one entrance mon aside from gazer to guarantee control. He has the right idea tho. I just faced an auraleus frontline that decimated my early game but lost control and couldn’t get it back until it was too late. Also dreadmoth is worse than mantisamurai in this position because it’s slower and would mess up the cost.
My thought of this is that Luna can pullback dreadmoth if he transforms. Some sort of repetition thing.
And him being slow shouldn’t be an issue. Luna can mess the opponent up by doing enemy sub
it’s better than mythics spam
it’s more and more common, so more disgusting even random players already use this. Before I saw him with veterans or more powerful players but it has become so common that it makes me want to ![]()
.
Trust me, I’m definitely not overlooking it myself! I’m a big fan of mid-game OoO and Mantisamurai was the best candidate for it until Vixenblade came out.
10/10 for the troll
2/10 for the originality (I give it for the Spookoid and Gyomurai - love to see them)
0/10 for the team name
