Yeah, that seems pretty similar to pve to me. You probably get all the pve rewards without even thinking about it, but casual players really have to work to get them, which is how it should be. Is the daily pvp gem really just for making ppl mindlessly enter games for a few minutes then move on? Making players kill enemies and maybe hope to defeat their opponent in the process sounds like a much better way to promote interest in pvp as opposed to giving away free wins for “daily engagement”. As for the few players who can’t reach 30 kills without queuing over a dozen games, I’d bet they struggle to get the pve rewards too. I don’t see why struggling to get pvp rewards is wrong but struggling to get pve rewards is fine.

I agree with these points. I don’t care if they reduce the number of kills, but I don’t think there’s a need to. I guess the devs will have to monitor it because as high level players we don’t know what it’s like and can’t really speak for them.

Something I spoke about with the devs is that it’s not even kills though, it’s defeats. So the enemy dying from poison tick, cannibalise, backbite etc will all count towards the 30 count.

I don’t think a free gem matters that much to big collection/ high level players.

But I think 20 defeats is fine.

I think it does. Especially to those who are mainly PvP focused. Maybe that’s just because I’m F2P tho lol

Sadly fortune shrine luck matters more than anything else, but all the freely obtainable gems add up over time.

Too long guy had such annoying momsters , i killed grovodus and his little piccolo twice , plus he was using aurodragon, and me token spam

how about making it the amount of monsters the opponent in their team vs the amount killed instead.

Lets say you start with 0/30 in the daily gem thing.

You played a match against someone who had 16 monsters in their team (the max normally) against you who had the same amount number of monsters and they disconnected or gave up. You will go up 16 monsters in one go.

and if you played the match to the end and lost. you will gain points up the number monster you killed from their team

This way. People disconnecting or giving up early isnt an issue at all. it will be their lose. it rewards those who lost still in the end and promote people to play to the end.

Right, so basically wins automatically count as the whole enemy team killed. This would be a great solution… sounds like it would tackle all the issues and people would just get to play as normal!

If it only counts non-token creatures too (i.e. the original in the 16-monster team) then it also stops anyone being encouraged to run heavy token disruption.

I think it’s also intuitive enough for players that the person retreats means “all monsters killed”.

It could even mean the number of monsters to kill could increase from 30 to 40? That way it’s “win 3 battles” or something like “kill half the enemy team 5 times”. 30 would mean you get it in 2 wins… that’s a bit too quick.

What do other people think?

Can we add something like ‘Minimal 12 monsters in the team to queue’

and how about 3 match & 20 monsters defeated.

Chimunka stun loop with some token generator, ez. That way you can get infinite kills :joy:

Gonna come straight out and piss a lot of people off, but nothing says ‘I can’t think for myself’ like running the standard poison endgame.
